Simply Southern Bar & Grill

We were charged immediately for the buffet upon arrival, I guess there is not a menu option, at least we were not offered this. I really do not like to be critical, but there were very few buffet items for the price (not cheap). Only 2 meat based proteins- fried catfish or fried shrimp, that's it, this day at least. The vegetables were canned or frozen (or boxed), but the small salad bar was decent. I wanted to get the corn on the cob, but could not bring myself to take it out of the greasy liquid. For dessert, there were 2 kinds of cake slice offerings- which were dry as Mississippi dirt during a drought--too stale to eat (however, the icing tasted fine ?). Come with an appetite, otherwise it may not be as appealing.

Best restaurant in wiggins. So easy to over cook crab legs when you're making that many all night, but they were perfect. Sides were great and service was quick and efficient. We will be back many many times.

Only been a guest at the convention hall, but our 30th reunion was amazing! The food was delish and the staff was very respectful.

When we arrived there was 8 people in the place we had to wait 10 mins before we saw anyone that worked in the place, we were seated and after tasting the food by far the worst food I have ever tasted!!

We walked in and looked at the buffet. There was very little options to choose from. We did not eat here. For $18 it was definitely not worth spending our money on it.

The buffet was great! Everything is seasoned and cooked perfectly! Best country style buffet i have had since sawmill closed down! the peach cobbler is amazing!

Not a great experience overall. Scampi pasta was not actually scampi. The burgers were average. Service was not great. I felt it was everyone's first day at the job. A good point, the manager (or owner) checked on us several times and was apologetic. I will probably give them another chance at another time. Not many choices around there.

We spend 80$ for 5 people. We didn't even get seconds. The buffet had two proteins. Chicken and sausage. That was it. The salad bar was not great either. It was a waste.

The food lacks a lot of quality, vegetables cut and thrown with nothing, dry broccoli cut and thrown only, the meats do not have a good flavor, the fish tastes of earth, some things like the The shrimp is very good, the pasta is also good, the attention is very good, but the food is not good at all, unfortunate, only the attention is very good.

Can't find anything negative at all to say about this place! Friendly staff, clean place, and most of all great food I personally think! ???

Food was very good. We just the Slider appetizer each because we didn't want to eat a lot. It came with homemade chips. It was delicious. The meat was about an inch thick and taste delicious. They also have a very elegant back room for social events. It was our first time there and we will return.

This place offers some of the best southern food! There’s a variety & it’s seasoned well (which is what I like). Management & the server was highly considerate as the manager was welcoming and very considerate of our experience there. Although our server waited on multiple tables, she ensured that our glasses were filled. Everything was great!

While it’s a nice looking place the food was mediocre at lunchtime, they were serving fried chicken and meatloaf as the main. The chicken was let to run out and it was a long while before they refilled. This is a buffet at lunch time so that was unacceptable . The sides were ok, the desserts were terrible, but the frosting was good on the cake per my husband. Very overpriced for what you get at lunchtime.

I arrived and had to find someone to be able to be able to pay for and sit down for my food. I had the buffet and the food was horrible and tasteless. It was 16.00 and some change ribs were extremely tough. I got chocolate cake off of the desert bar and it was old and stale. Couldn’t get a refill on my drink without getting up and chasing down a server.
