River Edge Resort & Steakhouse

I'm hoping that it was on off day; but we came in with a group of friends on a Sunday - the service was slow and spicy: waters, menus and coffee came sporadically and we had to ask for everything - despite only one other table of 6 in the whole restaurant - this included having to go to the bar to ask for our check. The $25 Chicken Fried Steak was the worst I've ever had - fully knowing it was made from ribeye, it came less than med-rare, breading not adhered and country gravy thin and broken - a big clue to being reheated. As a chef, I know it the steak wasn't properly tenderized, nor breaded so I sent it back. (Didn't even have a bite of the steak, but yet was charged). When asked for a biscuit with gravy to have something to eat, it came 20 min later and I would've been happier with a Pillsbury biscuit from the can...it was obviously left in the microwave too long, and reheated probably more times than the gravy. I suggest stop using the microwave and utilize leftovers better - it can be done properly. Did not feel well after what little I had to eat, didn't feel welcome and don't think I'll be back again.

Had a great night out for my birthday. The food was delicious. Their macaroni goes great with a steak. It truly is made very well. The waitress was amazing, the moment she found out it was my birthday, she covered the cost of our desserts! Can't remember her name, but it was March.22 We got put in the back of the restaurant. Could see the cooks cooking perfectly. She has blonde hair, a little bit older. She wears reading glasses that connect with a magnet! She was amazing, truly. My wife and I will continue to come here for special dinners.

The new york strip was good flavor-wise, but full of sinew and inedible bits. Was a bit disappointing at the price.

Just off highway,, great place to stop ,, dining perched above “Clark Fork” river ,, magical setting , staff very attentive and knowledgeable,, food was super, great wine menu and cocktails,,

We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks. The bloody mary's really need salt on the rim and are pretty unimpressive, but they're ok. We got the ribeye and while it was perfectly cooked and delicious, it only came with four tiny spears of asparagus. A $40 steak, with 4 asparagus spears...that's insane. Our waitress was kind, but it took a few to get service. Overall, this could be such a great spot if they made a few tweaks. I will say everyone was kind and the shrimp cocktail was great!

We have lived in the area since 1984. We have gone to this restaurant countless times within this time period. That said, we will not be returning as it now is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get!!! $28.00 for a "very small" portion of halibut, small baked potato, no salad ($7.00 extra)!!! This is utterly ridiculous for this area!!!! We will not be returning!!!

Very low quality food! Did not get the food we ordered! Food is also raw when served! The service was even worse! Use the restroom and they bust our table while we were gone took all of our drinks and appetizers! ?

Great food and beautiful view of the water, mountains, and a train! It’s a campground resturant that left us with a great riverside picture peaceful atmosphere and great food!
