I am new in the area and stopped in there at a recommendation of a young man at Anaconda building center. The outside of the building and inside both were absolutely gorgeous. My waitress, although I have forgotten her name not because she is unforgettable, but because I am bad with names was an excellent server. The chicken fried steak breakfast is unquestionably a breakfast for the gods and the owner of this chain should surely be proud of their product and service. When we need building materials, We will be going early so that we can stop there for breakfast. Amazing experience and the coffee was excellent!

Great food got the ridiculous burger and it turned our really good and service was fast and nice got seated well the server was really respectful and checked up on us occasionally 10/10 recommend!

Guess what they do not have in Montana.... Sales tax at the restaurant! Had the grilled chicken sandwich and their world famous homemade chili and a yummy Bitterroot Buck beverage. Great service, Good food, good music, and All American food! Give them a try!

We stopped for lunch. The place was mostly empty, so it wasn't busy and all the waitresses were talking and didn't even notice we were waiting to be seated until I gave a significant cough to signal we were waiting. That got one of the waitresses' attention and she looked out and told us to find our own seat. So we sat waiting but they continued to just talk and ignore us. Not feeling welcomed or like they even cared we finally just got up and left. I don't think they really care if you dine there or not.

We came to have a late lunch. The restaurant was not busy. We waited by the hostess station to be seated and listened to the staff chatting. One finally popped her head around the corner and told us we could sit anywhere. We did and the proceeded to wait while the 3 staff members continued to talk. That did not make us feel welcome. We left without ordering.

I’ve had breakfast at the Blacksmith several times since they reopened in the location previously occupied by Donivan’s (which I also liked). Blacksmith really nailed the transition! My review is based on breakfasts, so keep that in mind. Menu is really balanced with breakfast basics, excellent sides (like a delicious ham slice for $5 (as of today), and tasty bites like Eggs Benedict. Let me expand on thier coffee. It’s worth a stop in alone. Delicious, hefty mugs and great refills. Staff is excellent, attentive and fun…always happy you are there. A shut out to Amanda, who is a delight. She also transitioned from Donavans. If you are not familiar with Anaconda, wander around inside and take in The Industrial Age images and pictures of local pride.
