Terrible experience here!!! Made a reservation on May 31st 2024 for a stay July 17th-19th 2024. I received an email the morning of the 17th stating that the key to my room would be in the screen door of the room. We arrived at 6pm on July 17th 2024, we checked the screen door and there’s no key and the place is deserted. The Bar/restaurant had a sign on the door dated February 7th saying they are closed for repairs. We attempted to call and no one answered. I replied to the email I received that morning stating I couldn’t find the key, hours later I received an email simply asking if I had found the key yet. By that time, I had already found another hotel and replied to asking for a refund. I have yet to receive a refund.

This place is so disgustingly dirty. We went one afternoon because I was told by the owners they cleaned it up. I’m not sure what they cleaned up but it is disgusting. Everywhere you look it is disgusting. The guy took our order but I think he forgot to turn it in or something. We waited for over an hour for our food then when everyone else in there were fed he realized we hadn’t gotten ours. No apology or anything. The buffalo chips or so they call them are not what you used to get….they are like a homemade potato chip….no potato in them whatsoever. My kids ordered chicken last week while they were at the lake and while they were having a beer and waiting they literally watched the bartender take a few appetizers off of a plate that was for a customer and eat them before he gave it to the customer. The dog running in and out took a big poop in the so called dining room and they just cleaned it up and went on with business. Should have been closed and cleaned the carpet. I was told the owners aren’t even from around here. They came from Utah and they are hardly ever sober. They sure have ruined a great little business. ?

We didn't stay at the resort but ate dinner at the dinner. We had great service. The food was great. I had the mushroom Swiss burger. It was delicious. Our party ordered the garlic cheese curds. They were the best I ever ate. The prices are reasonable for the area. I would recommend this place to eat. We would go there again. It has a great view of the lake. There are tables to go sit by the lake and enjoy a drink and beer.

Dirty and rude! We walked in and were rudely greated by an old man who was a customer. There were empty tables but were still dirty from the last customers which had left more than 20 minutes earlier. We never saw the server or bartender anywhere. Dirty, dirty, dirty. We won't be back! I'd rather eat at Famous Dave's or the Red Light Garage, where I got food poisoning. The only good thing about the place was the gorgeous dog walking around the parking lot! Oh and the giant chicken statue out front!

Do not stay here! Completely the opposite as advertised! The staff knew the water in our sink and shower didn't work and they still gave us a key and took our money. The sides of the bed between the mattress and frame was filled with hair and other disgusting things, the stench from the 4 overflowing commercial sized garbage bins outside our room was so overpowering you had to hold your breathe the 10 steps from the car to door of the room, the TV screen was cracked and only the bottom half worked, my bathtowel had a hole the size of a dinner plate. We couldn't open the window of the screen door because of the garbage smell and flies, there wasn't a screen. The bathroom and back window did not have locks or screens. We wouldn't eat in the restaurant because the overflowing garbage bins were right in front of the open kitchen door open without a screen and the flies and the dog went in and out. We stayed here July 25 and we are still waiting for the promised refund. The health and tourism authorities should be alerted.

The staff know they have a water problem in the rooms and will still rent the rooms. Plus, no internet in the rooms. The water in our sink and shower came out as a dribble then would stop completely.
