The Lakehouse at Georgetown Lake

The food and drinks are overpriced and subpar. They are very rude and will never return.

This food was a pure and utter disaster. I got a Buffalo Chicken flatbread pizza(that is usually really good) and it was so disgusting. The cheese wasn't melted, the chicken was burnt, and sauce was terrible. I usually like the Lakehouse. But for the past couple of times it has been a let down.

When we sat down we were one of three tables. We were the only table two hours later when we left. The service was horrible. My chicken sandwich was chewy and stringy. The top of the bun was hard and crunchy like it had been sitting under a heat lamp too long. Unimpressed.

This is not a hotel. It is a VRBO like an Airbnb but nicer. Clean and services were excellent. Great information was given before arrival.

Decent place decent food but decent price. It has a few casino machines and bar the restaurant focus is an after thought

Place slaps. They've got food. They've got drinks. They've got toilets. They've got all of those things well separated. The cooks are free range. There are more than zero bears if you're feeling Timothy Treadwelly. They have diet Dr pepper.

My husband was hunting in the area, and we needed a place to stay. He is from Phillipsburg and knows the area. We decided to stay at The Lakehouse at Georgetown as it is only 7 miles from where he hunts.
When we arrived, we were greeted with smiles, and how can we help? The lounge/restaurant staff are wonderful. We didn't see any room service staff as they don't clean the room while it is occupied. We only stayed for 2 nights, so this may be different for longer stays.
The room was clean and tidy. A gas room furnace is the heat source, and when checking in, we were told that if the pilot light went out to call immediately. It is not a modern room, but it was only used to sleep in. I do feel the price for the room is a bit high for what it offers. However, it does sleep 4.
Would we stay here again? Yes, I do believe we would. We really like that it is locally owned.
