Oh my word. The absolute best pizza I’ve had in a long time.
We ordered the Iron Star pizza. Amazing crust, savory Italian sausage (so good) and their garlic sauce as a base.
Go to Big Timber and try out this local pizzeria. Delicious.

Iron Star was very busy after the cross country meet at the golf course. The server working was AMAZING! She did a really good job keeping up with all of the tables full. The pizza came out in a timely fashion (considering how busy they were) and was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Pickle Pepperoni 🍕

Stopped here on our way to Billings and it was delicious pizza. We got the iron star which was to die for I got a large and between two people only had 2 slices left. I would definitely stop there again on my way back home to California.

Dee was our server and a sweetheart. We split the garden salad. It was the perfect size to share. My hubby got the Hawaiian, which basic but tasty-his favorite pizza place in TX, adds cashews & bacon to theirs. I got the Iron Star pizza, and it was amazing! Let my hubby have a piece & he tried to steal another! He is notoriously mellow and understated in his opinions but said, "Hmm, that's really good!" We will be back whenever we are in the area. The patio dining area was very pleasant.

On Friday, May 31, 2024, my family arrived in Big Timber, MT around 7:30pm after driving for 10+ hours in the car, all day. We were exhausted, starving, and still needed to check-in to our hotel for the night, but decided we had better grab dinner first. We thought it would be nice to get pizza and take it to our hotel room so we could eat and relax. When we arrived at Iron Star Pizza, we were impressed with how nice the restaurant looked, and how good the food smelled. We approached the counter where a young, blonde woman was working. We asked her if we could still place a carryout order. We were worried that the restaurant was set to close in a half hour. She assured us that we could still order carryout, we just couldn't dine-in so close to closing time. We ordered cheese bread, 2 Caesar salads to share, and a large pizza with extra sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers. The whole order came to nearly $60, but we didn't mind too much, as we were tired and starving. We paid for the order, and the woman told us it would be "a while." We were worried about the restaurant closing soon, so we decided not to check in to our hotel yet, and to instead sit down at a table by the counter and wait for our order. We saw the young, blonde woman chatting up other customers, and passing by us several times as she went onto the outdoor patio and back where other customers were dining. We sat waiting for almost 30 minutes before an older woman who worked in the kitchen passed us and stopped short, looking startled. She asked if we had been served, and we explained that we were waiting for our carryout order. A few minutes later, the young, blonde woman came out and breezily told us that we wouldn't be getting our food because she had forgotten to send our order back to the kitchen after she took it, and that all she could offer us was a refund because the kitchen was now closed for the day. We were shocked (and disgusted, not to mention incredulous), but we took her up on the refund, and promptly left. We had just traveled all day, and had nothing to eat. We were in a small town with limited options, and it was now after 8pm. We had just wasted 30 minutes waiting around with empty bellies for nothing. Thankfully, we found the Timber Bar. Though initially wary of a bar atmosphere, we had no other choice. Even though it was after 8pm on a Friday night, we were able to get one of their last tables, right by the door. Although we had to wait almost another hour to receive our food, boy was it worth it. It was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. So I guess we have the "ditz" (as someone in my family called her) at Iron Star Pizza to thank for us discovering the Timber Bar. We returned to Big Timber again a few days later on Monday, June 3, 2024 after visiting Yellowstone, and this time, we didn't waste our time with Iron Star Pizza. We went straight to the Timber Bar again. So the bar can thank you for our business.
