The reviews stating that ‘out of towners are stared at and unwelcome’ are so weird to me, it’s just a normal coffee place and there was nothing unusual about it. We even went on Sunday when it was incredibly busy. It sounds like people think they’re the center of attention when really it’s a small place where you can accidentally make eye contact.

Anyways, we’re from Bozeman and this was our first time here. The workers were very kind despite there being a rude customer through the drive through that was upset with the espresso machine being down. I had a chai and my partner had cold brew, both were good/similar to our usual City Brew order. The bagel had a generous amount of cream cheese.

Overall, I like the food/drink and atmosphere plus the workers were nice to talk to when ordering. Don’t expect big chain fast food wait times, if you are in a hurry either go to one of those or at least be kind to the workers - they are doing their best. :)

The locals/regulars will stare at you like a zoo animal if you’re from anywhere outside of big timber. Very uncomfortable atmosphere. One tried to cut in front of our group of three because he felt entitled to go ahead of the out of towners (we’re from Bozeman). I recommend coming here anyways and taking up their space. Enjoy the staring contest.

The drinks were good, and the food portions were very small.

Great breakfast sandwich, but the menu does not match available toppings. The coffee might be alright black, but don’t try ordering anything else. It’s the first coffee I’ve thrown away on two cross country road trips.

Atmosphere is not great, it’s a bunch of locals so as out of towners we got a lot of stares. It got better people were friendly opening the door for us and were kind when our table didn’t have any napkins. My husband tried to order my coffee, they apparently don’t do syrups, even though they have a list of over thirty on the wall? The lady gave my husband a lot of attitude when I tried to add two syrups and some Splenda to my cold brew. Then when my husband tried to order a mocha with almond milk (because he is lactose intolerant) she couldn’t understand and thought he wanted a mocha and to add mocha to it. Then told him that the mocha powder is really thick and so they will have to add drip coffee to it to help it mix. Overall a three star for atmosphere only since people were being kind , service was super rude, that lady at the front today should never run a register, and after our ordering process I have no hope for this food or coffee to be decent

Update: Coffee with the powder is bad enough and has such a distinct aftertaste my military husband can’t drink it and he has lived off MREs in the field. We both threw our coffees away immediately. Waste of money. I’d rather pay more and have them use the syrups.

Whenever we travel through Big Timber, we look forward to stopping at the Coffee Stop. Before we left Billings, I checked their website to verify that they were open until 2:00 p.m. We pulled in at 1:50 and saw the open sign in the window. I went to the door and found it was locked with a sign that said they were open until 2:00. I drove up to the window and was told that since they were officially closed, I could not get a latte. It is a poor business practice to close before your posted time.

I waited 30 minutes for a blended mocha, got back on the road and it tasted like soap! Very disappointing. I realize the girls were busy and overwhelmed, but seriously this was super annoying.

I always stop for breakfast sandwich and coffee. Today I stopped at 1215 and all they had was premade frozen burritos to offer. So disappointed

Super friendly service and excellent lattes. The star of the show is the cinnamon roll - amazing! Think of the fluffiest yeast roll you ever had and then imagine that as a cinnamon roll. Just delicious ?

My mom worked here for a while so I had to stop by when I came to visit and I am sure glad I did. My daughter got a smoothie that was so good and fruity I wanted to steal it from her!? I tried a London Fog which was delicious and interesting. The donuts tho? that almond icing was so amazing, I planned another stop before I leave town. If you're reading this, you should plan to go too!
