Tried the Athenian for the first time based on the recommendation of a friend who knows the owner…it was very subpar, unfortunately. We ordered the grape leaves and gyros. The gyros were filled with dry meat that was genuinely difficult to bite into and chew. The grape leaves were bland and had some sort of gravy splatted on them…it honestly looked like someone had dripped snot onto a leaf-covered meatball and used their finger to smear it. Disappointing, because the food was somewhat pricey and we were happily anticipating a savory meal. My recommendation is that you skip this restaurant and instead go to Spitz, also a Mediterranean restaurant, but one that is absolutely excellent.
closed on Christmas. Apparently, all Chinese food and even other restaurants are closed now on Christmas. Not necessarily a bad thing all people need to rest. there should be food options
