The food and overall service once seated were great — everything we ordered was delicious and came out in a timely manner. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. However, the experience when we first walked in was extremely disappointing. The hostess, a girl with glasses and brunette/black hair, was noticeably rude. There was no greeting, no smile, and she made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than welcome guests. First impressions matter, and this really set a negative tone at the start. Thankfully, the quality of the food and our server helped turn things around, but management should definitely address the attitude at the front of house. A warm welcome goes a long way.

It was an Amazing Night, Sarah is a gem, she was very welcoming and considered all our request. The food was great and didn't take time like some places. Will definitely visit again soon!!!!!!!

We went to BB to celebrate anniversary - fond memories of having a burger and beer there when it was the Rex. The burger is back! Excellent! Great service!

Due to a scheduling mix up, we ran a few minutes late, but they still seated us right away.Atmosphere was great, perfect for a romantic evening. Steak was cooked to order and very tasty.The meat loaf melted in your mouth!

Had reservations for a party of 6 at 6:15. We arrived about 10 minutes early and the hostess would not seat us until exactly 6:15 despite the restaurant being almost empty. We were directed to sit and wait on the bench until the lobby area and watched as multiple walk in tables were seated immediately. We finally decided to move ourselves at the bar for a drink while we waited and then were ushered to our table in a hurry. The bar staff were wonderful and made sure we all left with a full beverage in hand. Our server was very friendly, offered some good recommendations, and kept our water topped up and plates cleared as needed. However food service was terribly slow. The bread was great. Apps were decent, artichoke dip was very salty and had a lot of lemon. We ordered a variety of mains and waited almost an hour for them to arrive. Three of the four steaks ordered were completely cold. The filets were oddly smoky flavored and the New York was gristly. Two were undercooked, even by a group of rare steak lover's standards. In total we were there for three hours. The chef did come by to apologize for the food and the long wait. He was very upfront and truly wanted our experience to have been better. Really wanted to love this place. I'd come back for a drink and some small bites but I don't think we'll be back for dinner anytime soon.

This was me and my husband's first time eating at the Buffalo Block The food was amazing as was the service we will definitely be back it's one of our new favorite places in Billings for sure

Every penny was well spent ! Wonderful service delicious food and amazing environment!! Can't wait to go back!

We took our guests to Buffalo Block because the steaks are A+++++++. Our guests agreed, we did the Delmonico Ribeye all around, great flavor, had mashed potatoes, asparagus and Mushrooms. Always super.

It was a great resturant to visit, will go back again. The staff was amazing and the food was good. Not the best steak I've ever had, but up there on the list.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere in Billings! Their $15 burger/beer special is about the best deal in town. Can’t wait to return!

Recently had a celebratory birthday dinner here. Both the butter-aged new york and the center cut filet were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. ALL of the food that we ate was fantastic, including the dessert! Chef Joseph came out and talked to us and he is not only an incredible chef, but very personable. Our server, Suzie, was absolutely amazing and on top of everything that we needed. Highly, highly recommend.

Butter aged NY strip was great, but had a good portion of fat around it. The salad with goat cheese and beats was delicious. Brussels are to die for. All around everything tasty and great service

I never leave reviews, but Joseph K. (I hope that's his name, bald guy with a beard) was literally the best server/waiter I have ever had. I've been here multiple times with service ranging from mediocre to above average, but tonight was the best I've had at any establishment I've been to ever. He was attentive, and genuinely caring, plus fun as heck. He alone made the entire evening. The food was good, but for the price that is to be expected. His service is what stole the show, that man deserves a raise!

Our waiter Hayden was amazing and knowledgeable. However… our Brussel sprouts were a bit to rich, could have had less Balsamic. Mashed potatoes and cheese cake were the highlight!

The brunch... I can't put into words how good it is.
