poor customer service! charged double and owners wouldn't fix
today is my best friends birthday and i stopped at the location on 8th and central and asked her to make my best friends coffee extra special and she did such an amazing job! our coffees were perfect and she made my friends coffee so cute!!! she is definitely my favorite barista!!!
Place is great. The onion rings are as good as any I’ve ever had and the burgers are absolutely top notch. They may cook your food fast, but it is much better than what you picture in your mind when you think of fast food. I spent all summer training for an ultra race and this was my go to reward and replenishment after an all day run.

The amazing blond haired gal at the BW on Grand is the best barista in town. We have tried every coffee shop in Billings and we always come almost every morning to BW's for our hot mocha. Always friendly, always smiling, and our mochas are anyways spot on perfect!

It is quite rare for me to leave a one-star review, even in instances of poor service. I typically reserve such ratings for experiences that significantly fail to meet expectations or display a lack of professionalism. This review reflects my genuine disappointment with my recent visits to BW Blacksmith Coffee
My wife and I visited BW Blacksmith Coffee shortly after its opening, and our initial experience was positive. The breakfast we ordered was enjoyable, reasonably priced, and portion sizes were generous. However, my wife found the coffee selection to be quite limited, which seemed surprising given the establishment's branding as a coffee house. The overall ambiance felt like a blend of fast food, diner, and other elements, which left us somewhat puzzled.
Despite the coffee issue, we appreciated the food and continued to return, albeit with the understanding that we would need to seek coffee elsewhere. Unfortunately, with each visit, the experience appeared to decline. We decided to give the new location on Grand one final opportunity this morning, but it was disappointing.
Upon arrival, we noticed that the menu lacked descriptions for the items listed, offering only names and prices. For example, the menu included names like "Southern Sam" and "Kicken Karl," which did not provide any indication of what was included in the dishes. When we requested a paper menu, we found the same lack of detail in the breakfast section. We inquired about the contents of a burrito, but the staff member at the register seemed either inexperienced or disinterested, leading to an unclear response. A subsequent staff member, who appeared to be either a manager or cook, simply stated that the burrito contained a meat, cheese, and vegetables, without further elaboration.
We made a decision based on limited information and placed our order. My wife attempted to request a straightforward coffee with oat milk instead of regular milk, but was informed that all coffee was pre-made and dispensed from a machine, resulting in her opting out of coffee entirely.
Although the wait for our food was reasonable, I ordered a sandwich and a burrito, neither of which contained sausage as expected. The sandwich consisted of egg, cheese, and a slice of bacon, while the burrito was an unclear mix of chicken, bacon, and some kind of dressing, leaving us unsure if it was a breakfast item or a lunch wrap. My wife’s egg biscuit was predominantly biscuit, containing only a small amount of egg and a slice of cheese within a biscuit that was nearly four inches thick. The total cost for our meal approached $30, without any sides or additional items—merely three dishes served on plain white plates that appeared as though they had been reheated leftovers.
We remain perplexed about the identity of BW Blacksmith Coffee. It does not function as a traditional coffee house, nor does it fit the description of a diner or grill. The exterior signage prominently advertises "ENERGY DRINKS, SALADS, WRAPS, MILKSHAKES," while the door declares "100% BEEF," yet the establishment is branded as Blacksmith Coffee. It is evident that there is a lack of clarity regarding its concept and offerings.
Given our experience, we have decided that this will be our last visit.

Stood at counter for 10 minutes with 8 other people. 2 workers walking around kitchen saw us but ignored and never came to counter. Gave up and went to city brew where business matters to them.

Very dissatisfied with this place! I frequent this location. If I get something to eat it is the hot ham & Cheese sandwich with onion rings. So I have NEVER been charged an up charge of $2 or even $1 to get onion rings. But this time I was. I also have never had an issue with my order or the customer service. I ordered lunch to go so I could eat before work. Well I got to work, ON KING AVENUE WEST, and went to eat before clocking in. Well they made the wrong sandwich. I had to drive from King Avenue West all the way back to the Grand Avenue location just to get the correct food. Well they just made the correct sandwich and did nothing to make it right for me to have to even have to go get what they messed up on. It took extra gas and time that was wasted. By the time I got back to work, I had NO TIME to eat my lunch. It was time to clock in. I didn’t get to eat until I got off from work at 9:30 pm.
Not even a credit for a free drink or anything. When i called the store with my concern, I was told to call the store on 20th street. It wasn’t their mistake!! I called that store and was told I would get a call back today (9/14). WRONG!! What has happened to great customer service anymore? It sure wasn’t shown yesterday!!

This place is absolutely amazing. The people that work here are so friendly and nice. Always a good conversation. The food taste so delicious. There’s almost never a wait time ever. Even if there’s a large line, they have no issue getting through the line quickly. These guys treat customers like family. Would absolutely recommend this place over and over.

Come stand alone for ten minutes, hoping you may eventually get help. Funny to see one worker come out of the bathroom, like 'crap he saw me!' run away!...
Note to self... But personal service bell

First off, these prices are awful. Unfortunately my family loves their $9 breakfast sandwich. Don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely amazing but $9?! The bun isn’t even sourdough- it’s an upside down burger bun toasted on the flat side to make it look like a sourdough slice!
I’ve visited twice this week for coffee and both were terrible. I figured adding an extra shot would make it taste better but it still tastes like toast and warm milk.

Because I’m a regular at the Heights location and they’re just gonna shut it down. I literally come to this place every single day and they’re just gonna shut it down. Not even thinking about their customers. Should I liked me see if they don’t care about their customers
I've never eaten inside but I have had great service every time I come. Food is fantastic and drinks are very good! This would be my favorite coffee place if I drank coffee. I loved getting hot chocolate here in winter!

Accidentally placed an order for this location that was supposed to be for another. Called a million times immediately to try to fix it with no one picking up.
