So glad the old location is still open. My dad and I absolutely loved our lunches, and the service was 10/10. Wonderful folks! The food was incredible!I recently dined at a delightful restaurant that truly impressed me! The food was exceptional, showcasing fresh ingredients and creative flavors. The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or special occasion. I highly recommend this gem to locals and visitors alike—it's a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy quality dining!

Great food! I got fried gator and gumbo and it was really good! Also the host is the figure of Southern hospitality! The fried gator they gave me was on the house too! Great people!

Easy atmosphere and very generous workers. Had to try the fried gator since I didn’t get a chance in Florida and it’s dang good. And the sweet tea is AMAZING! Nice stop while passing through. ?

This is a tiny place that's easy to miss but the personality of the place more than makes up for the size. I have actually been here a couple times now. The first time it was recommended to me to get the Kitchen Sink Jambalaya. I should have tried something else because I will never be able to get past this dish. It is simply the best Cajun dish I have ever eaten and I would have a serious case of FOMO if I had anything else. Be forewarned, it is REALLY spicy but it's so good you won't be able to stop eating it. Absolutely worth checking out.
I'm originally from the Chicagoland area, owned a restaurant for 15 years and I'm a gourmet cook. We've lived in Billings, MT for 30 years. In my estimation, this is some of the finest food available in the city. It was a perfect blend of spices, the food was served hot and the staff was excellent.
Terrible experience all around, but especially the service. After an odd comment on a co-worker's hair (she's African American) the server all but ignored her. When she failed to respond to my friend's comment, the server said she 'zoned out' but answered our questions, not my friends. The food is barely Cajun and was so-so. None of us received our salads, even after asking for them. Half of us didn't get our side dishes. After delivering the food, she didn't come by until it was clear we were finishing up. I'd let this go (mostly) if I was in a fast food place, but for a nearly $30 meal/ person, this was beyond awful
Cajun Phatty's is a little place, you can eat inside, or outside. This is a place where every thing served is from a kitchen that cooks from "scratch", and it is good. You can have your order served with the "spices real warm", or "not so warm". Just tell your server. Portions are generous, served just off the stove, by great wait staff. In my travels, I have found some great Cajun restaurants, and some that have nice Waiters, with "so-so" food. Cajun Phatty's has the great food and great wait staff. If you like the Chicory flavored Coffee, that is great too. Like Apple Crisp for desert? Yup, they have that too, and it is supper. Passing through Billings, want a great place to go with great food? Take a break. Get off the "Slab" and have a memorable meal at Cajun Phatty's. I'll be back.

Shrimp po-boy and shrimp bisque were very tasty and filling. Cafe is small and located in a mall. Inside dining was limited and we ate on the outdoor patio area. Good choice or a meal that is not standard fare for quick eats.
We’ve been to Billings many times we always eat at the same place. Today we decided to try something new. Boy are we glad we did! This place is a gem! My husband had the shrimp po-boy and I had the shrimp and grits. They were both delicious! But the highlight of the meal was the bread pudding with toffee praline sauce. The outside was dark (almost chocolate in color) so at first I thought it was burnt. But when we dug into the caramelized exterior into the warm center, it was the best bread pudding I have ever had! In fact, it ranks among one of the best overall desserts I’ve had! Definitely give this place I try, and do yourself a favor and end with the bread pudding.
In Billings overnight and wanted a place near our hotel. Found Cajun Phatty's in Trip Advisor. We were surprised to find an unassuming authentic Cajun restaurant in a strip shopping center on a main highway. I had an amazing shrimp basket and subbed out the Dirty Rice for the cheesy corn grits.....best grits ever! My husband said his shrimp and grits were as good or better than any place he has had them.....including New Orleans! The staff was also extremely pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend.
Very nice staff and they offer great food with things like salad dressing made on the premises. I had an excellent jambalaya and was so impressed that it wasn’t just another joint with burgers and chicken. Comfortable patio area with throw pillows on the seats. It looks a bit like a fast food place but it definitely is not! My friends had very tender alligator bites, a patty melt and bisque.
For starters, this was such a FUN experience! The staff was so amazing - cracking jokes, happy to be there, made great recommendations. It was out first visit, but we felt like regulars who had been coming for years. And then the food!! Oh my goodness! We couldn't stop eating! From the Boudin Balls and Gator Bites to the Jambalaya and Shrimp & Grits and then on to the Bread Pudding. Absolutely delicious! I can't wait to go back to Billings for more Cajun Phatty's.
