We had lunch today. We were greeted right away and served. They have a great menu and our food was good. It's not the best I've ever had, but the fries are legit. I had steak tacos, and my son had the winning burger. I can't remember the name. It was good, We definitely will go there again.

Our experience at The Cooper Onion was disappointing. The food was overpriced for the quality, and while I understand the impact of inflation, I expected better. My burger, which I had been looking forward to all week, was incredibly dry and underwhelming.
We were seated at a table near the door, and with every opening, it got colder throughout the evening—even though we arrived early. This made for an uncomfortable dining experience.
The service also left much to be desired. Our server, Darcy, snapped at my one-year-old son when he grabbed her tray—an understandable action for a toddler—and made multiple errors with our order. For instance, my father-in-law’s request to omit pickles and tomatoes and my husband’s request for no pickles on his burger were both ignored. Additionally, I had to ask for ketchup three times before it was finally brought to the table.
Overall, the combination of subpar food, uncomfortable seating, and inattentive service made for a disappointing visit. I would not recommend this restaurant for families, as it does not seem particularly kid friendly.

Ordered steak tacos for $18. I received 2 extremely small tacos that took up about 1/8 of the plate. The rest of the plate was completely bare. Side salad in a bowl. It was a poor presentation, a terrible value, and mediocre flavor. No salsa, guacamole, or ANYTHING more at all. Really, really bad value and presentation. Very disappointed. Service was also very slow but I can deal with that if the food is good and I get a fair deal for my money. Will not return.

Kinda disappointed as they portray their cheesesteak sandwich as if it were a sliced flat iron steak sandwich, when it is actually just their roast beef or shaved prime rib maybe prepared on a flat iron pan?? Don't understand why they mislead it that way, maybe fancy wording for the description, but as someone is tries to find a decent cheesesteak sandwich in billings that isn't roastbeef or shave prime rib, it's annoying.

Got in was welcomed by the servers. So far was a really great experience. When it came or ordering I asked if I could substitute the fries with my burger for the French onion soup. She informed me it would be an upcharge witch was fine. Once the check was delivered we seen that I was charged for my burger plus the normal cost of the soup and did not receive fries. It the charge for my burger and soup were separate. Instead of paying a couple bucks for a side of the soup they charged me full price for soup. Server had no care about it.

A great place to grab a bite to eat or a drink! It was previously called The Commons. It’s not overly crowded and the atmosphere is usually relaxed and fun. Our “Nashville” server was excellent, the prices are decent and the food is overall quite good. The best restaurant in Billings West End IMO.

Me and the family went to Copper Onion for my 30th birthday and everything turned out amazing. Server was great. Both the appetizer and 2 main dishes were great. AND we also had our 6 month old and a 2 year kids with and never felt to be a burden to them. Thanks for the great experience! We will be back soon

The burger could’ve used more flavor in the patty itself in my opinion but the fries were great. I did appreciate our server asking what sauces we would like when she was taking our order but she didn’t make it back by often. All in all a good experience but surely there are better burgers out there.
