Let me start by saying I spent the first 20 years of my working life in customer service. Mostly at restaurants from Natali’s diner in Red Lodge all the way up to Michelin starred places in New York City. It is my understanding that the first rule of customer service is that you greet your customer inside the first 30 seconds that they are in your establishment.
I just wanted to grab a quick to-go salad, because I was working nearby. The first thing I saw upon walking in was an empty hostess stand with the “please wait to be seated” sign displayed prominently. So I followed the sign’s orders and stood there for a minute. Then, since no one was even bothering to look up or make eye contact with me, from the bartender to the rest of the staff in black shirts and black pants, I grabbed a menu and started reading it. I found a $17 salad that looked like what I wanted to order. Then I stood there for quite some time longer and noticed that a number of the employees had seen me, but had not greeted me. So after that, I set down the menu and left. I will not be returning.
Sadly, I have similar experiences at most restaurants in Billings. I don’t know what has happened to customer service in my hometown, but I am just so bummed out right now.

We got the bison ravioli and pork chop and both were delicious. Great cocktails. And didn’t have to wait for a table at dinner time on a Saturday!

This is usually my to go spot, but today I ordered some buffalo wings and they gave me just the wings without the sauce, I still love it but would be nice to be more cautious about those things.

Not good. Food seems like frozen microwaved food and it’s very loud.
Well what can I say about the Copper Onion Bistro. First I will say we will certainly be back. The server we had was absolutely awesome the food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect.

😖👎We stopped by for lunch but Copper Onion Bistro was between lunch & dinner hours. They offer very little at that time on their menu. BEWARE! The menu is changed during those times! The steak tacos were👎 pre made stuffing Warmed up in the microwave & brought out to the table. Not good……
