I generally like Cracker Barrel restaurants. In most cases the food is consistent from store to store no matter where you dine. My meal last night was not at all up to par. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with greens, pinto beans and orca. The chicken was very salty. I even ask my wife to taste it and she agreed. The beans were cold as were the greens. I asked for pepper sauce for the greens. The top of the container came off spilling most of the contents of the bottle.
It was not an enjoyable meal.

Would I go back? Most likely as this was not my typical experience. If it were to happen again I would have to make another dinning choice.

With the cost of eggs I had to send back my over medium because they came out over easy...the cook fixed it to overhard 🤔 server was top notch

Gabrielle, our fabulous server was absolutely the best we've ever experienced at Cracker Barrel in Billings, MT. We hope to get her station every time we visit. As far as Atmosphere: it could be a bit warmer in the seating area (it's winter in Montana, after all) and I wish there was a way to dampen the loudness in the dining room. Sometimes it's so loud, it's difficult to talk to other folks at our table. Overall, we do enjoy dining at Cracker Barrell.

Worst burger I've ever had. Like a pound of seasoning 4 pickles all end pieces no ketchup mustard onions or tomato and they forgot the fries!

We waited to be seated for over a half an hour and was told they were waiting to clear a table. They seated several people before us that were on the list for a minute. I had a party of six and it would've brought in a lot money. I will never be back and I'll be sure to let people know what the service was

Been awhile since we visited. Our waitress would not look my husband in the eye and only talked to me.
Food was ok and I have had way better. Portions containing meat have definitely decreased in size. Everything we had was half the amount of what we have gotten in the past. I realize commodity prices have risen, but raise prices a bit and serve a decent size.
We decided to try their take home meals for $6. Didn't actually look at food until we got home, 2.5 hours later. The meatloaf with Mac and cheese looks like it was made for a small child. One tiny little piece of meatloaf. The chicken with Mac and cheese actually has 2 pieces of chicken.
Most likely won't be going back anytime soon.

After paying for my whole order online, I arrived to find out I had to pay an additional $6.00 for one of the sides I already paid for. Food was good. It has been better in other visits though.

We eat here often and have been generally pleased. But last night I order mommy's breakfast with French toast. The toast came out burnt, and the eggs were cold. I sent the toast back. I came out 10 minutes later, now eggs were really cold. The toast looked pale but okay, until I turned the pieces over and they were just as burnt. Not sure if I got the old burnt toast back or a new set of burnt toast. I am sorry, I don't eat burnt. Manager said cook made new toast, so I refused to pay and advised him to fire the cook.

This place needs some serious help! The service on our latest visit was dreadful, the waitress seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth, and the corn was dry. The grilled tenders seem to have sat out for quite a bit and we had to wait to get our mac n cheese, when we did it was soupy and nothing like it should be. The waitress ignorantly said it looked how it’s supposed to, when we requested a new mac n cheese it took a whole hour! On top of that, they had to remake a takeout order we placed three times, because it had mac n cheese for the sides. The manager was apologetic during the horrible wait time, which they believed would only be 25 minutes but turned into an hour. The mac n cheese was better the second time around and they took some stuff off the bill but the service is still definitely uncalled for. Hush puppies were also disgusting this time. The only redeeming quality of the meal was the cod, which was delicious.

I used to love Ceacker Barrel. The atmpsphere.. the polite staff... the food... Well, it's still the same, except the food. The portion sizes have been getting smaller, and this past weekend, I ordered a grandpa breakfast with fried chicken. I got 1/2 of a chicken breast. The egg portion was miniscule, and the hash browns were burnt. This isn't the first time this breakfast came out this way. It's gonna be a few before I give them another chance.

On the upside, it's still Cracker Barrel. The atmosphere is awesome, and the wait staff was very polite and attentive.
