Five on Black is a small chain offering fast casual-style Brazilian bowls. The ingredients were very fresh and they have amazing flavors. Only complaint is they are a big stingy when scooping.
Plenty of space at this location, including a patio. Wide walkways. Lots of parking.

Apparently the new employees think the company is going bankrupt. I ordered a large bowl with all greens. She put about ten pieces of spring leaf on the bottom of the bowl. Barely one scoop of chicken. I had to remind her that the large bowl comes with two scoops of sauce. ? #goingdownhill

We live in Missoula, where Five on Black on Higgins Ave is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is awesome. On a visit to Billings, we were so happy to find a Five on Black near our hotel. But, the food here was awful! Cold, stale, nasty tasting. Not at all like the Missoula version.

I don’t normally write reviews but wow! After a long day of driving I wanted a real meal but trying to stay vegan on the road usually makes that hard or disappointing. I built my own bowl and this food was so nourishing and tasty, service was super quick, and my meal was about $14 which I felt was absolutely worth it for what I got.
Vegetarian options: Marinated tofu and coconut based sauce was stellar!
Dietary restrictions: Plenty of vegan options that were *good* vegan options
