The Local is easily one of Billings' best restaurants. Sitting at the bar with a full view of the kitchen and watching the staff interact is a privilege that enhances the entire experience. Then there is the food. Oh, the food.
Have you ever had a meal so good sometimes you catch yourself daydreaming about it months or years later? A smell or a sound will trigger the memory and you can't help reminisce out loud.. "Remember when we had _____ at the Local?"...
Our waiter did well! We could tell he was new and trying to do a good job and get it right. :) My husband got the bison short ribs, which were dry and he was not very impressed with his meal overall. Drinks were mostly limited to beer and wine, they did have two cider choices and the pear ? cider was tasty. My husband’s French Pinot Noir was good as well.
