Friendly staff and delicious food.
We had a wonderful time at Montana Brewing Company, enjoying the great atmosphere and delicious food. The serving staff was very attentive and answered all of our questions. The menu offered a variety of excellent options, and our food was served quickly and hot.
Great experience. Opening seating. We ate at the bar. We were taken care of immediately and were checked in on the perfect amount - super attentive. The food & drinks were fantastic. Highly recommend.
I’m not saying it was the worst experience—it just felt like the food could’ve been much better if they didn’t cut corners on certain ingredients. For example, I had the mushroom Swiss burger. The meat was high quality, and the bun was decent, but the cheese was low quality and the mushrooms were clearly canned. It’s so close to being great, but those small shortcuts really bring it down.
My wife ordered the lemon pepper cod with steamed broccoli. The broccoli was undercooked and completely unseasoned. I couldn’t tell if it was frozen or fresh, but either way, it wasn’t good. The soup also came out cold, which was disappointing.
If I were the owner, I’d really focus on the small things. It doesn’t take much effort to sauté fresh mushrooms and keep them ready in the cooler. Just little upgrades like that could make a big difference. It feels like the restaurant is almost there, but it’s held back by cutting corners. But hey—it’s Montana, and the quality standards around here aren’t always that high.
The food was ok. I had the blackened cod and sweet potato fries. Nothing to write home about. My boyfriend got a burger patty, ordered a rare and got a medium at best. Service was great though! It’s good if you’re in a pinch and looking for a late night spot.
We had excellent service here, food was good and our server Julia went above and beyond and was so helpful for recommendations of things to do in the area! Great downtown location! Would recommend!
Had the weirdest iced tea that tasted like Red Hots or Fireball, would not recommend. The burger and fries were good, though!
Pure burger joy!
Great place. Just the kind of local joint we were looking for when we had to stay a night over in Billings. Was in great need of a good beer and some tasty bar fare. Chill atmosphere, great food and drink, & great people. Good vibes.
I am shocked that a group of us (teachers) were cut off from having drinks, AFTER ordering food and wanting to enjoy a drink with our food. We had one martini at Doc Harper's over a 2 hour period and wanted to go to Brew Pub to eat some dinner, but were accused of being intoxicated, when we did nothing but maybe laugh and engage in normal social interactions. It was uncalled for and embarrassing!

Locally owned brewery and restaurant with an incredible atmosphere. Brew Pub is a downtown staple with the best patio In town! You can truly tell they care as they are constantly giving back to the community and different causes. Always a fun and enjoyable day or night out at the Montana Brewing Company!!
It's a decent sports bar. The bacon cheeseburger was really good. Hard to find a good burger. Definitely recommend. Only thing that sucks is, is downtown and parking isn't always great.

We got the nachos plate and it was actually tasteless. Our appetizers were cold. It's so noisy you can't have a conversation with your party.
Our little gal that served us was nice, but when I told her about the food problem, she just said "oh sorry about that" and walked away. She offered no solution. It's truly surprising how just one bad experience can taint your perception of a place ?
