disappointed in thanksgiving. turkey dinner was good, nice portion of food.NO cranberry. its a thanksgiving staple. service was bad, server was complaining about she was tired, hungry, its been a long day. she was resting on our table. forgot our salad. no one goes out to hear your server problems. you go out to enjoy your self. we called for the manager. Kevin he took over our table. we made reservations 2 weeks before for the dining room. they sat us in a tiny ,cold room by the bar. we ask to be moved, went to a bar table. most of the staff were wearing their street clothing. rib & chop is one of the nicest place around, things were not up to their up grade style.

Wow, an excellent combination of casual dining, sports, spirits and great service. The menu is being updated but no worries because their current menu is perfect. If you come here to dine, expect great steaks, seafood, soups, salads and a very diverse bar selection. You won’t go wrong or leave hungry at Montana’s Rib & Choo House in Billings, Montana. You get well deserved 5-stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We recently had dinner here for a birthday! First time visit for all of us. Our server, Kyle, was welcoming and very helpful in decisions for dinner. It was awesome! The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, and with the restaurant being full, it it still didn’t feel hectic. We had appetizers, dinner, and dessert. Food came out, hot and delicious, Never had to wait for refills on drinks, And the other staff was incredibly helpful with anything we need also. The photograph they took with a Polaroid camera topped off the night. . I would highly recommend dining here, and for an occasion is even better. thank you to the Rib and Chop House staff, Kyle and management for a great night!

We have enjoyed Rib and Chop for years. Had the worst food experience tonight. Fried green tomatoes and salad were good. Salmon, broccoli, rice and bison chili were extremely oversalted and awful. The cook needs to measure their seasonings. Totally unacceptable. We were offered to speak to a manager but refused because we just wanted out of there. Bartender was more of a server than our server.

Nate is an amazing waiter! He took great care of us. Food was amazing! We came early for supper and it was quiet. Baseball cut sirloin and ribeye are out of this world! Highly recommend eating here, ask for Nate if you can 😉

Usually we have descent service and food. The food was mediocre at best. Salad that looked like it had been sitting around for a while. Chicken dinner that was burnt, hamburger over cooked and dry, fish and chip that was over battered and bland. Very disappointing and expensive.

We’ve dined repeatedly at other Rib and Chop House locations, Cody back in the day and in more recent years Livingston. Those dining experiences always provided succulent steaks, delicious sides and great service. Not so this past week in Billings.
To start with, the service was mediocre, our server disappeared for long periods throughout the meal and was disengaged when she was present.
Both our salads had questionable lettuce pieces, not appetizing. On the plus side the blue cheese dressing is still delicious!
The baked potatoes were large and loaded with all the fixings as hoped but we’re not completely done, disappointing to pay extra for a aide that’s not fully cooked.
But the BIG issue I had with my meal is this. I ordered my ribeye medium rare. It came out slightly overcooked, I can deal with that, it happens. The problem is it was served on a blazing hot stoneware plate so the steak continued to cook as I ate. A steak should be savored by eating it slowly. Not possible here. By the time I finished, eating at a rather rapid pace, it was VERY VERY well done, not what I paid for.
If this is how Rib and Chop serves their steaks now I cannot recommend it. The whole point of a fatty ribeye is to slowly enjoy a succulent piece of meat, but it can’t be done if it continues to cook in front of you while you eat. Then there’s the seasoning, way too much so that the edges, which should be seared and tasty were over-seared and far too salty.
Very disappointing considering other Rib and Chop locations have always provided excellent dining experiences on many occasions.
Billings is off the approved list.
