Stopped in later in the evening and had a great meal!! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. One note please advise people of stuff you are out of when they order just so they know ahead of time. Had the Chihuahua chicken and a steak taco and finished off with fried huckleberry ice cream . Was a great meal and will come back again.

Went for drinks. Margaritas seemed pre mixed with added flavor but were

I had the burrito lunch special for $10. It was okay, nothing special, and I'm pretty sure the baked beans were just Bush's Baked Beans. They didn't have horchata which is always a treat when dining at Mexican restaurant, so that was disappointing. Their pre-meal chips and salsa were good. Service and atmosphere were perfectly fine but I left feeling underwhelmed with my meal and not really looking forward to another visit. To be honest, my last few visits here have been leaving me with the feeling that the quality of the food continues to decline. I probably won't be back again, not because this was a bad place to go, but because there are better ones at similar pricing.

Should’ve read the reviews of late. Lots of extra charges for ice, sides. Food was bland drinks lacked a punch and nothing we ate was worth the $100 tab. Staff is doing their best, but at the moment, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze here.

Love the food and staff here! I have been here before and everything I have tried is amazing! Great for date night or families or just friends hanging out. Variety of mixed cocktails and dishes to try.

I am giving 1 star because yhe management runs their wait staff into the ground all while she is visiting with her friends. Lisa was an amazing server and should be the manager. She was running around taking care of everyone while the manager took 2 hours to pour 1 shot. Literally! I am not exaggerating. Lisa was the star tonight!!

Drinks are strong and food is good. Far above average service is what makes this place great.Definitely a go to place in Billings for authentic food and drinks that will put you down on the floor.

Went to have lunch and ordered the taco salad. They came out with lettuce, chicken, sour cream and the shell and nothing else. It was supposed to have pico, avocado and bell peppers. We asked where the rest was and the server said they were out of avocados, peppers and pico. I thought a Mexican restaurant without pico and avocados? How can you run out when Costco is 10 minutes away? This was noon and they had just opened! They did discount the meal but still seems weird they ran out at the beginning of the day.

In a word, Disappointing (note the capital D). Rio Sabinas has gone waaay downhill since my last visit over two years ago.Positives: nice waitress, interesting decor, and pleasant patio weather.Negatives: almost everything else. To start, we were seated at a dirty table. We were then forgotten for around 20 minutes before receiving chips, salsa (ketchup), and water from the pleasant waitress, who who blamed the delay on "typical" staffing problems. We ordered from the menu with one specific request (no beans or rice) for one dish for one party member. The food was delivered promptly, but was not any better than average. The noted specific menu request was completely ignored, resulting in very little of the dish being consumed. The other dishes, enchilada and smothered burrito, were underwhelming due to a lack of sauces. We thought we were upgrading our meal plan, but we ended up regretting our visit. It won't happen again until I see a "new management" or "new ownership" sign outside the building.

Great beer. Bad food service. Didn't know menu items were out of stalk till I ordered it. Didn't get sat for 15 min. Got our beers wrong. (Bartender was great. He poured what beer came on the ticket. 5 star for you who worked the night shift on May 28th.) Server and food was 2 star.

The service was okay. Both of our orders were messed up. One of us has celiac disease. Any other Mexican restaurant, enchiladas are made with corn tortillas otherwise it's a burrito. Not here. Both of our plates had to be redone. Overpriced and small portions. This isn't Boulder, CO! We won't be returning to this restaurant. Thanks for trying.

We love eating here. Especially the kids. They have an ice cream bar where they can add any candy they want. The kids' meals come in cute box cars. It's adorable. I also LOVE that they use fresh cilantro in the chip dip and aren't afraid to use it on your food. You can request not to have it. The only reason I gave 4*s to service was because I had a bad waiter a few months back. Everyone else has been really nice. We missed it this year, but last year, all moms got meals for free. Same with fathers Day.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. They have an ice cream bar where your kids can add candy. It's cute. Also, kids' meals come in these adorable car boxes.

Currently sitting for an hour and a half to wait for our food. Wait staff is pleasant, but waiting over an hour for food with a family of 4 littles is a bit annoying. Might update my review once our food comes, but if not I'd assume it was not worth my time to update. Also the bathrooms are disgusting. Will not be back as of now.Update: food was so terrible none of my family would eat it. Asked to speak to a manager and they said she was too busy. There were 5 tables full. I am usually one to only write positive reviews, but this was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Save your money and support another establishment who might care a bit about their customer.

This placed used to be one of my favorites and I could justify the prices because of the “extras” like delicious chips and salsa, huge portions, deals on large margaritas, and free kids treats. Now, the prices have gone up even higher, portions are half of what they used to be, no kids treats, margaritas are literally double the price of 5 years ago, and the salsa is has the flavor of smashed tomatoes. We used to be regulars, but we’ve been consistently disappointed every visit for 2+ years.

Was invited to a dinner reservation for a party of 10 at this restaurant. Arrived a few minutes early and checked in at the host desk… I introduced ourselves and the employee said we don’t have a reservation under that name, but let me check… then she started cleaning tables… after other staff members seated a few more people waiting behind us, a second employee acknowledged the reservations and took us to a table where others were seated who obviously weren’t in our party, so back we went to the back of the line again. After waiting a few more minutes, a third employee came out from the back, at which time our host arrived and talked with them and she told us they were going to set up a table for us, which they did (not sure what ever happened with the original reservation). The nice waitress, who was trying her best was somewhat stressed as they were short staffed and the entire meal was dis-jointed. 10 minute wait for drinks—half of us received our meals, then another 10 minute wait for the other half of the meals. Our meals were mediocre at best. Nothing remarkable. And to top it off, at the end of our meal a brand new waitress showed up with a plate of sizzling fajitas asking who ordered them??? Kind of an uncomfortable experience all around…
