“I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Soup and Such! I made a post on Facebook (searching for Brunswick Stew), they commented on that post to let me know they had it available this past Wednesday and Thursday! I told them I would be coming in with hubby to try it and when we got there, they greeted us, told us how their restaurant worked and anxiously waited for our opinion on their stew! John kept walking by making little jokes and making us laugh and they seemed to really genuinely care if we enjoyed the stew which we definitely did! This beautiful restaurant will now be a staple in our outings and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a yummy, self serve, place to eat with amazing customer service and an extremely positive attitude ♥️ Thank you guys for not only satisfying our craving for Brunswick Stew, but also having a fantastic customer service standard at your restaurant 🥰🙌🏼 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️“

“Yesterday, without warning or ceremony, I experienced a first-time event that feels statistically impossible given my age and parental status: I ate an entire crêpe alone. No shared bites. No parental tax. No tiny hand reaching across the table like a debt collector. The setting for this minor miracle was The Baked Escape, which immediately escalated the experience from “meal” to “personal landmark.” The s’mores crêpe should not be this coherent. It is indulgent without being childish, nostalgic without pandering, and structurally sound in a way that suggests forethought, testing, and a quiet disdain for mediocrity. This is not sugar for sugar’s sake. This is craftsmanship wearing comfort food as a disguise. 🍫 My daughter ordered the jalapeño popper crêpe, which reads on paper like culinary bravado until you taste it and realize it’s actually restraint masquerading as audacity. The heat is calibrated. The creaminess is deliberate. The balance is surgical. This is what happens when someone understands flavor instead of just stacking it for attention. 🌶️ Then there’s the environment, which deserves its own paragraph because it reveals the soul of the place. Warm, human, unpretentious, and thoughtfully designed, including a small play area where my one-year-old granddaughter could roam safely while the adults reclaimed the radical act of enjoying food at a normal pace. That detail alone is not accidental. It’s philosophy. It says this place understands real life and built itself accordingly. 🏠 The Baked Escape is not just “good.” It is disproportionately good for how quietly it exists. It feels like a place someone built because they cared, not because they optimized. If you’re local and haven’t gone yet, you’re not missing a meal. You’re missing evidence that someone nearby is doing things correctly, on purpose, every single day. 🥹“

“Heights hidden gem for excellent Chinese food. The service is always great and friendly. The food is better than anyone else in town, and the prices are comparable to anyone else. Only downfalls, this restaurant is mostly an order and go restaurant. They do have a few tables.“

“Delicious food. The salad was great as usual, but the steak gorgonzola can compete with any fine dining restaurant. Unlike other places lately, they don't trick you into lesser or inferior quality if you take out. Great service every single time, even for take out!“

“Chicken noodle soup should include noodles, chicken, and broth. Not just broth. Terrible effort. It's not hard to do it right.“
