I still sit here eating as I write this. The atmosphere, the music, and of course the food all synergies to make an incredible experience. The menu is limited, but only to show you the best they have to offer. My wife and I's dishes were both phenomenal and truly surprising with how delicious each bite was. If you're lucky and the chicken sandwich is on the menu - GET IT! Huge portion, had to be 2 thighs on a bun. The dill aioli with the house pickles were incredible. The fries were perfectly cooked and the ketchup must be house made, it had a nice tang to it.Parking: Limited street parking. All free.

Nice place cool location by the railroad tracks. Had the appetizer donuts which were warm and delicious. My son had the chorizo bowl which he enjoyed. I got the frittata which was somewhat burned and the tatertots that were overcooked and were like chewing broken glass.

Super friendly staff, comfortable interior. Noise level was fine for a meeting. The menu looked excellent. The food was not as great as we hoped. Entrees were barely warm and Cesar salad dressing was thick balls of gel that stuck everything together- almost like a dip instead of a dressing. I've give it another try next time I'm in town.

We went in for an early dinner, 5:30pm ... no one in there except one man. Hostess asked if we had reservations, I think there was plenty of room. She sat us in the most uncomfortable table, we asked to move across the room, she wasn't happy. Menu is not for the hearty eater, my fault I ought to have read up and saw it's small plates for a big price. This is not a $$ restaurant, should have $$$, especially for what you get. I had the noodle bowl with 2 small pieces of beef and too many mushrooms, $20.00. It was fairly tasty but wouldn't reorder, nothing special. Presentation was blah, a bowl plopped down. My husband had the short rib, not on bone, just pieces over a gooey mush that tasted sour! I had a bite and it was awful made me gag, don't know how he ate it.... No side of bread or ??? Again presentation was blah. Menu stated it was short rib over crème fraiche, sweet and spicy coulis , scalloped corn. I tasted and he tasted nothing of the sort, it was tasteless mush , no sweet, no spice. Ugh for $33.00! Hostess gave us two small glasses of water, never came and refilled ..... We travel all over the US and we're looking forward to a spectacular meal, it didn't happen.

The atmosphere I love and the service was super duper. I will start with my favorite...dessert! Pot de creme...I could devour multiples! Was not a fan of the mussels with curry over fries...just a little "off", too many fries, too little sauce. No offer to make coffee to go with dessert was a tad sad. We will always be back to try all of the flavors though!

Walked in. The blonde girl wasn't overly friendly. Just stood there as we walked in. Didn't ask how many. Just said can we help you with something??? Which is not what a good hostess does. When we asked if they were open, she gave a weird annoyed look and said, um ya? As if we were stupid for asking it. The hours were not posted on the door. She gave us a pretty dirty look. Not impressed with her. *The noodle dish was amazing. I rate that a 5/5. The dumpling. Had no chicken and it had a beef broth. Very very very salty. The chicken dumplings were way too dense. There was not a single piece of chicken. Rate 1/5. I would eat here again. Took a star away for rudeness and one away from the dumpling dish.

This is my new favorite place! I loved the simple message on paper as we came in. The gracious way were were greeted. The music was perfect. Our server was attentive, polite, helpful and not overwhelming. The food was awesome!!! We brought friends from out of state and they too were impressed. I have often thought about going to The Fieldhouse but never took the time to go.....sooooo glad I finally did!!! We will bring our whole family here when we gather in Billings for Christmas

Top 10 restaurant in Billings. Easy. Maybe top 5. Last time we split the fried chicken and greens and the burger and they were both delicious. Really good seasonal menu and I've never had a bad meal or poor service. Cast iron skilled chicken is great. My favorite thus far has been their meatloaf sandwich with huckleberry BBQ sauce. Maybe it will return to the menu this fall? Service is great, location is great, never have had a bad experience here. We don't eat out often and try to check out different places but every time we come back we always say we should eat here more frequently!

We have been in Billings for 3 days and have been to The Fieldhouse twice. This restaurant is so good! We come from a place with really high caliber restaurants and were completely blown away by the quality of each dish we tried. The noodles were amazing, the short rib (and that corn!) were excellent, the mac and cheese and polenta— phenomenal. Some of the dishes can lean towards a little salty, but it was all so good that we didn’t mind one bit. And of course the service is excellent! We anticipate this place becoming a regular spot while we’re here in Billings!
