My favorite place to eat in town. Top notch dishes that go beyond a typical American meal. The flavor combinations are always incredible. If you want something good to eat outside of just basic meat and potatoes, this is your place. Although their steaks are pretty good too!

Stopped in at Walker’s tonight after a long day on the road, half exhausted and very ready for a meal that didn’t come from a cooler in the back of my truck. Ended up having one of the best dinners I’ve had in months.
My server, Laci, was an absolute pro not in the robotic “I’ve said this 1,000 times today” way, but in the actually paying attention way. She asked what I was going for with my meal, listened, and then went back to the kitchen and talked with the chef about how to get it just right. Not many places do that anymore. The kind of server every restaurant wishes they had.
The New York strip came out perfectly tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I asked (which, let’s be real, is a rare miracle in the steakhouse universe). Brussels sprouts were crispy and rich without being sweetened or drowned in anything weird. Everything tasted clean and thoughtful.
Small thing but a big thing. Laci didn’t hover, didn’t disappear, and didn’t treat me like a table number. She actually checked in like a human, and we chatted for a minute. That kind of connection is what makes a restaurant feel like a place you want to come back to for sure
Also, to the kitchen....beef tallow powder?? Whoever came up with that needs a raise and possibly a parade.
In short Steak = Perfect.
Service = Exceptional.
Ambience = Cozy without trying too hard.

A really good place to eat. Had a selection of appetizers. Deviled eggs were terrific. Pretty good Brussel sprouts and salmon cake sauce had a good kick. Octopus was a bit rubbery. Great bread and carrot cake without nuts for those with allergies. Wait staff was terrific! Relaxing atmosphere with nice lighting.

Highly recommend this place - the food and service were excellent and a great value for what I had. I think I had the best beet salad ever, the smoked salmon cake was crispy and moist, seasoned perfectly. Even the bread was fantastic! The service was very attentive without being overbearing. Great experience.

If you need a place for a flavorful dinner, this is is.
Well made and fairly priced cocktails accompanied some of the absolutely best food I've had in my life. The burrata, served on incredibly delicious cornbread, was fresh tasting and flavorful. The octopus was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The pork shank I had as a main was fall off the bone, moist, and tender, and all accompaniments were just the right sweet and savory. The duck confit my associate had was very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The carrot cake was slightly too sweet for me, but it was still completely enjoyable. If you want chicken and biscuits with exactly enough seasoning in them to fill a thimble served within 2 minutes of you ordering it don't come here. If you want to point your fork at your plate after every bite and loudly announce how good everything is, give Walkers a shot. Also, waiter Jacob was hilarious and attentive.

If I’m at the bar for a burger and a couple beers it’s not too much to expect minimum attention, or even eye contact, from the bar tender who seemed to hate their job. I waited for any acknowledgment to close out and finally had to raise my voice. I’m usually a very generous tipper. Not this time, and I won’t be back.

The food was overly seasoned. My daughter said her steak was delicious. My husband had the halibut and it was too salty. I had the chicken cashew pesto pasta, loved that I could get the half size. It was good, but salty. The apple crisp was good, but not exceptional like I had heard.

The bison ribeye was rich and full of flavor, cooked with precision, while the seasonal salad felt crisp and refreshing. Service was smooth and confident, and the stylish downtown dining room gave the evening a polished, urban feel.

Our server Jessica was incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and drinks menu, seriously top marks to her! She suggested me a really nice cocktail to start and gave a nice overview of the specials, unprompted.
We got the octopus to start which was well cooked. The bravas tomato sauce was perhaps slightly stridently acidic (maybe too much added vinegar or an undercooked tomato sauce) but other than small complaint, very good.
The burger was well cooked to medium, the steak was slightly under for Medium but otherwise good quality meat. I found the string asparagus hard to eat and a bit woody, so I’d probably not get those. The only other constructive feedback was that warming the plates prior to serving would prevent the food getting cold as quickly.
Other than that a nice find in Billings as we passed through.

First time in Billings, stopped into Walkers downtown and got this amazing “fall-off-the-bone” tender pork shank. My wife had a salmon special (so not something they’ll have all the time) and a side of smashed crispy potatoes. I’d share a picture but she had it halfway eaten before I could get my phone out, lol. Finished with the apple crisp. Just a great all-around experience when you combine the food with the friendly staff.
