OMG !! the best food ever. the staff was amazing the music was at the perfect level for conversation and did I mention the food. I, we will definitely return for more wonderfulness if that's even a word..
This bistro is just right off the main street in Bozeman and easy to locate. Street parking only. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and lovely to chat with. Happy atmosphere. We had the trout, chicken and croquettes. Wow! Amazing. The food was flavored well, cooked just right and gone in moments. We love this place. Definitely go try this bistro out
Great atmosphere! Service was impeccable from start to finish. Both servers were very welcoming and gave recommendations that were exactly what we were looking for. Appetizers, salad, entree, and dessert were all excellent. Will be returning for many more meals.

Every time we go to Bitterroot, we have an amazing experience! The service is professional and friendly. From the chefs to the waiters, they have a very knowledgable staff. Pictured are the 1/2 chicken and pork chop entrees. We have also enjoyed the trout and croquettes. Every menu item we have tried has been delicious. Perfect for an intimate date night or a fun night downtown with family and friends.

definitely overrated. The appetizers had no flavor, The water tasted like rusty pipes from the city. The menu was very limited. And their sink in the bathroom smelled like urine
All of that set aside, the chicken wasn’t so badI’m
OK, normally when people review a restaurant they review it for the food. Let me just say the food was amazing. But the purpose of my review is purely towards the customer service and giving a compliment to the ownership team for hiring such amazing servers. Our server was Mathew, but we were greeted by a very friendly guy that I cannot remember the name of. Both of the guys were serving and attending to all of the customers in the restaurant. They were outgoing, accountable, friendly, educational about the menu, and very complementary about the chef and his capabilities.
Hats off to the ownership team for finding such amazing customer service centric waiters. That is so hard to find in Bozeman today. Truly amazed that both of them were so good at their jobs.
The sweet potato purée below my trout had a brown butter/brown sugar garnish and it was incredible. The trout was amazing. My husband’s ribeye was also amazing. We will be back! Blown away.
Thank you to the amazing staff!

Absolutely phenomenal. Our servers Mathew and Brayden sold the whole experience with such good service and contagious moods! The menu was amazing, every food we got was wonderful (their mac and cheese is to die for). It was a wonderful experience, and though a bit higher in price, worth every penny. Thank you to the chefs and the servers for a fantastic night out!

Amazing dining experience and esthetic. The trout dip was wonderful, unbelivable citrus flavor paired with savory trout. Gnocchi was also great, the bite sized potatoes with delicious caramelized onions ontop. the appetizers made the trip worth it by themselves. The burgers and fries hit the spot, 10/10 would recommend to anyone willing to pay the higher price for the quality.

I've stumbled upon this small gem on foot, since living close to downtown.
It's unapologetically upscale, so don't come with kids expecting a budget meal.
That said, it does a wonderful job of being exactly what it intends to be.
The shared plates are well-executed, interesting, innovative. and most importantly, very tasty.
The mains are delicious.
The staff is friendly, attentive, not pretentious, and overall provide an great experience each time I've been here; it's evident they spend time discussing their wine list.
It's a great addition to our food scene in Bozeman, and I hope they're here with us for a long time.

Excellent food and service. The croquettes are a favorite, and trout was outstanding. Bistro burger very good but not unique. The menu is limited and entrees a bit pricey but you won't be disappointed by the quality.
Small, quiet & excellent service. Appetizers were great but bread forward. Ordered the pork chop entree which was seasoned well but much too dry. Overall a good experience and our server was authentic & very nice.
