The food was decent, but far from the quality I would expect at that price point. Bread was fine, but you'll see the same topping on the duck (scoop of cream / chives). Roasted potatoes on both our plates - seasoned identically. Food was cooked well, but feels like it came off a Sysco truck versus anything unique to other restaurants in town. You can get a better meal for less. $50 for a pork chop with potatoes & broccoli is pretty wild.

Quite, quaint with rustic charm. I will be back to this restaurant every time I go to Bozeman! The food was incredible!! We had the beef short ribs with mashed sweet potatoes. All of the staff were very knowledgeable of the food and that was also important to me being that my family has some allergies. We will go back soon!

Best beef rib I ever had. It's a 'must have' when traveling through Bozeman. Never had anything like it. Chef obviously loves what he does. Haley, our waitress, knows her stuff, friendly, and knows how the food is being prepared. Much thanks to the team at Bitter Root.

Had a great dinner sitting at the bar. Matthew’s wine knowledge was refreshing and got me just the right glass for my dinner. JC (manager) was wonderful and informative, telling me about the area since I was in town from Nebraska and never visited before. They made a stranger feel exceptionally welcome. The food was amazing. Bison tar tar was fantastic. After spending the past 25 years serving in fine dining steakhouses, I can enthusiastically say The chef is beyond his years and I highly recommend Bitterroot Bistro.
