Beers decent enough, bartender was nice, but clearly this is a locals spot. Got dirty looks from a bunch of boys at the bar just for walking in; that continued when we were there. Worst part was we got warned about this from someone at a spot prior and shrugged it off - turns out it’s very much true. Not the most welcoming place if you’re visiting; but if you’re out and see their beers they’re good.
Old school, but still staying relevant! The OG Bozeman brewery, so their strengths are more traditional styles (i.e., World Beer Cups for the porter and lambic). But they also have a strong barrel-aging and souring program, plus the usual range of IPAs. Little tap room, which they're proud of, so you can actually get to know your neighbor.
We had such a good time checking out this place during our visit to Bozeman. The staff was super helpful walking us through the menu and giving us all the background. It's definitely worth a visit to try some great local beer.
