I come here every year and I never heard about this place until today and it's right across the street from my hotel I went there and they had really good weekend deals and food and it was one of the best steaks BUT.. went there yesterday set the bar to have brunch young bartender was nice but completely useless very poor attention to the three customers a very large bar I asked for my meal to not be on a skillet it came out of Skillet then they put it on a small plate to make it look like it was a mess then it was cold it was the worst experience I've ever had at this place in the last 10 years I will not be going back there. The service was slow no one cared about pleasing a customer or spending $40 but the steak was actually good but it was not that hot yesterday was a very very big disappointment

We have been long time patrons of Rib and Chop House and we had a gift card so we decided to try the one in Bozeman. We very rarely complain, send things back, or are critical of wait staff as we both understand food service struggles. The bar area was very dirty and had a lot of staff standing around on a Friday night around 5. We had to send our gumbo back because it was cold. But we waited along time to check on us and it wasn’t our original waitress. Our steak and sides were delicious and hot. Our waitress refilled our drinks, didn’t pick our dirty plates, they sat on the end of our table, she brought our check, still didn’t remove the dirty dishes and it at least 1/2 hour for our credit card to be picked up and it wasn’t our original server again. The steak and sides was delicious but the service kind of ruined it for us. Not sure we will go back to the Bozeman location

When you crave a good steak!
It was good. I had 16oz ribeye, 6oz lobster tail, carrot cake. 1 beer & a cup of coffee for 84.00 dollars. It also came with a Ceasar salad and garlic mashed potatoes.I didn't care for the garlic mashed potatoes. But that is probably more personal preference than bad food. Would definitely recommend and eat there again.

Service was good very kind host and server. Steak was cooked perfectly but very much over salted. Mashed potatoes are not fresh. At least day old. Steamed broccoli was fresh and good.

Firstly, they were out of bread and didn't offer us anything to substitute it until we asked. Then, we asked for a substitute, and got one appetizer for 12 people instead of bread. Then, our dinner salads took an hour to come out and the restaurant wasn't busy. The dinner did taste good, but the service was not good and our whole group was pretty disappointed.

We decided to make a day trip to Bozeman. We stopped here to have lunch and we're very disappointed. We ordered the shrimp tacos. There was very little filling, the shrimp still had tails on them so had to remove them in order to eat. Also the tortillas were warmed so long they were hard and chewy. When we complained the waiter commented "yeah that happens some times". Didn't seem to be concerned. Very dissapointed!
It was expensive and not good quality

The one in Billings is way better! The bartender was on point in getting our drinks but my old fashioned was made over ice cubes & not smoked. Would’ve expected a little better for what you pay for one especially in Bozeman!

Food was bland and tasteless. Sides tasted like they were from a bag found in a cafeteria line. Didn't taste anything southern or Cajun. Prices are way too high for what you get.

My family and I recently dined at the Rib & Chop House in Bozeman, Montana, and overall, it was a solid experience. We were seated quickly despite the restaurant being busy, which was appreciated. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with tasteful decor that added to the dining experience.
For appetizers, we tried the fried green tomatoes, which were flavorful and delicious. For our main courses, we ordered the ribs and a steak, both of which were cooked well and had great flavor. The portions were generous, and the sides were a nice complement. The highlight for me was the steak—a perfect balance of seasoning and tenderness.
Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions with a personable touch.
Overall, Rib & Chop House delivered a solid meal and a great dining experience. I’d definitely recommend it for a night out in Bozeman, and I look forward to returning to try other items on their menu.

CHECK YOUR BILL!!!
Total Rip off. Wasted a beautiful steak by not cooking it at all. Thing was raw, not blue, rare or medium rare. Couldn’t find silverware while appetizers went cold (15 minutes). Wrong entrée all together. Promised to “FiX” the bill. They fixed it to cover their butt while stealing from the house. The worst example of a millennial run business. My 18 year old has been in the industry for years and was also appalled. GOOD LUCK !!!
Many years in the restaurant industry and multiple business owner seriously disappointed.

AWFUL!! Save your money. When this restaurant opened in Livingston it was awesome. NOT ANYMORE. Last night I ordered crab & my husband ordered a ribeye. My crab and butter were cold. My husband's steak was so over salted he couldn't eat it. He literally took 2 bites. They forgot our salads and silverware. By the time the silverware was brought, the one item I had that was warm was cold. My husband ended up with a grossly overcooked baked potato for dinner. I had cold crab. After they "adjusted" the ticket I still paid over $70 for a dinner that wasn't a meal.
