This was a beautifully constructed roll.
Staff are genuinely friendly and happy to help in their best regard possible. One time I had a small comment and they bent over backwards to not only hear me but make sure I was taken care of.
Its unfortunate what happened here years ago. I would suggest this place regardless based on my experience alone.

This place has great sushi! Unique roll combinations and flavors and beautifully prepared. We sat at the sushi bar, it was fun to watch the sushi rolls prepared. The vegetable tempura is boss and so delicious. Staff is attentive and friendly. It was busy but we did not have to wait to be seated which was nice.

I USED TO HATE SUSHI! Don’t give up on them Bozeman!
Having only tried, and not at all enjoying, sushi only once prior a friend talked me into going to Dave’s. We’ve been back twice since in just over a month. This place completely changed my opinion of Sushi. My taste’s have changed over the years and Dave’s has every taste bud Buzzing!

Lovely Friday afternoon at Dave’s sushi! My fiancé and I were immediately greeted upon arrival by our server and decided to sit at the sushi counter.
Our server, Matthew, gave us ample time to absorb the menu while making a few recommendations with drink pairings. Ultimately, we decided on the Spicy Scallop Nigiri and Quail Egg on Roe Nigiri as apps, the Christmas Showers speciality roll, the Veggie Maki, and the Mackerel sashimi for entrees.
Service at the sushi bar took over and the coworkers there were a mix between jumping in to check on us when needed and having a good time behind the bar. There was a late lunch rush around 2:30pm, but Matthew was totally on top of it- with ease.
We were impressed by the quality of the raw Mackerel in a landlocked state.
I saw the previous review where a guest felt the service here was too pushy with upselling and that they were constantly disturbed, but this was not our experience at all.
*Mid-2000s vibe interior, slight ski town feel, just off Main Street, vast menu.
*Come for something in Bozeman that’s not fried food, stay for Matthew.

I purchased two item, the salmon roll and the ahi poke bowl. Both items 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Ahi poke bowl, it's advertised as a appetizer and that's about what you can expect from the portion, though it is delicious, the portion size is not large. I added a salmon roll which was also delicious, together they were a mid filling lunch sized portion for 40$
The price is about what you would expect from a mid-level sushi joint.

Overpriced and overhyped at best. Ramen was cold and wack.
