Best sushi in Bozeman! Visiting town with a friend who lives here and loves Dave's Sushi. Got the Special tajin tempura sea bass roll - so fresh so tasy, beautiful presentation! Great fun friendly staff. Also got the green tea which had a nice minty flavor. Modern atmosphere, LOVED IT!!!

Following a tragic incident that led to 2 deaths and nearly 50 cases of severe illness from toxic mushrooms, this restaurant's response has been disappointingly insincere, merely aiming to cover their tracks without addressing their repeated health code violations or taking accountability for the deaths they caused. Their consistent failure to pass health inspections, with two critical violations noted in their latest review and a consistent pattern of repeat critical failures in all inspections over the past year, is reprehensible. Dave's evident disregard for the lives tragically lost underlines a profound lack of respect and accountability.Update (2024): Still flaunting critical health violations, demonstrating a persistent, shocking disregard for public safety. Don’t support this business.

Miso soup is definitely different. A lot of onions and taste was not very strong. The spider roll was unedable. it had a very soapy and fishy after taste. The rice was definitely not fresh, without giving the details I could not chew or swallow this dish. The spicy tuna roll was decent and the Unagi was ok. Little dry and overcooked but still had some flavor.I chose this place because it was within walking distance from my hotel but I would not frequent again.

After doing some comparisons, I was convinced this is the BEST sushi in town. Everything was perfectly delicious. I was especially impressed by the chief’s sashimi plate and how they used the ingredients to make fish tastes even better. Highly recommended to sit at the bar!

Easily my favorite restaurant in Bozeman. I have been eating here for 16 years and have seen it evolve. Every single meal has be excellent. I appreciate their consistency with delicious + quality food, a fun atmosphere and great service, literally every time. When I travel and go out for sushi I’m always a little disappointed because it’s never as good as Dave’s. I would eat here everyday if I had the budget for it. Definitely recommend 11/10!
I used to come here with family up untill they served bad mushrooms to spme customers and ending up hospitalizing 3 of them and killing 2 others. Dont eat here they dont practice safe food
