I loved this place before today. I recommend this place constantly. I have family in from out of town and we decided we wanted to enjoy some drinks and food. The server with the long brunette hair zipped past us and told us that someone would be right with us. She said this in a really dismissive tone. Once seated we waited for a few minutes and than she seated a large group of girls. She than stopped and took a picture of another group next to us. That's fine we should have been served next. She than went to the back and got water and samples for the large group of girls completely ignoring us. She kept walking past us. We got up and left. This has put a horrible taste in my mouth. This happened Tuesday 9/16 at 730pm. One of our family members is a POC and she felt discriminated against. I am older and also felt some issues from her. I won't be bringing anyone else here or sending anyone your way. Not a good look for your establishment. Extremely upset about this behavior.

My favorite bar in Bozeman... Devil's Toboggan. I would love to keep it my own little secret, but alas, it is phenomenal! In response to the previous 2-star review...Sometimes the wonderful staff is spread thin, but they are wonderful, warm, and the bartenders make phenomenal drinks. However, you can certainly steer clear to leave more room for those of us that absolutely love it! ❤️❤️❤️

Stopped in to see if this would be a fun place for a women’s hockey team to meet up for drinks before or after games … nope. Staff seemed uninterested and annoyed as the group of four arrived - scary to think of 10 or more arrived at once … Stuffy, overpriced and self important. Will make the trek downtown from the rink instead of staying in the neighborhood.

The drinks were not great and the prices were very high. The staff was very stuffy and the atmosphere was pretentious . We tried to take a picture with one of the pieces of artwork and were yelled at by the bartender to not get near the antiques and told “ we are not that kind of bar. “ We were four guests from out of town and we’re not doing anything wrong. We will not be back. Not a fun vibe or atmosphere with high priced not well mixed drinks.

Just upstairs, Devil’s Toboggan is a modern-day speakeasy — a little hidden, but absolutely worth finding! This is truly one of Bozeman’s hidden gems. The atmosphere is incredible, with a unique vintage/gothic/Victorian vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another era.
The drinks are crafted with care and attention to detail, and if you sit at the bar, you’ll get a little extra entertainment while they’re being made. The seating areas are cozy and inviting, though the lighting is quite dim — you might need your phone to read the menu.
But trust me, this place will not disappoint. And whatever you do, GET THE CHOCOLATE CAKE. You can thank me later!

The drinks are pretty tasty, but expensive. The main problem that I have is the food. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and chicken and waffle deviled eggs. I have no words as to how horrible they both were. The shrimp were raw and not deveined.. not just a little but a lot. I didn't even eat one of them. The deviled eggs were absolutely horrible as well.

Pretty fantastic for a “speakeasy” well it has the vibe of a speak easy. Eclectic atmosphere dating to 1920’s where the mixologists mix up some mean cocktails 🍹 and service small plates of very well sourced ingredients resulting in a small but tasty menu.
