This place on gone down hill significantly since we started going here last spring. It's dirty, there is never staff out in front, and the food and drinks are often out even though no one is appears to be eating there. Yesterday we went there and the employee was eating a bowl of food, came out with it, sat it down in the food prep area, didn't wash his hands and began preparing our food. The drinks were almost all out in the fountain area and he was non responsive as he sat in a chair in the middle of the food prep area eating, even though he said he had just gotten to work. I got a fountain juice drink instead of a tractor soda since it was out, but it smelled off. I drank a few sips realizing it wasn't fresh and something was off with it and threw it away. Nevertheless I got very ill a few hours later with gastrointestinal issues. I hope the owners can step in and figure this out, because this used to be a staple for our family. We won't be returning.

This is a great stop with a good selection of build your own options. The fried tofu is a great addition to a bowl and the sauces are incredible! Updated from previous review on 2026-01-31

Food has no flavor. Portions are good but my bowl tasted like nothing despite having 2 sauces. Won’t come back and will probably get chipotle instead.

Pretty good spot for a quick lunch, has some Brazilian flavors

I think about Five on Black all the time. It’s like Chipotle (small, fast, customizable) but local, thoughtfully done, and Brazilian. I was vegan for a period and this was my go-to every single time I visited Bozeman. My wife has Celiac’s, and she’s also been able to eat here safely, which says a lot.

Everything is incredibly well-seasoned, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. Nothing feels like an afterthought. It’s one of those places where you can taste how much care goes into the food. And truly, do yourself a favor and get the cheese bread. It’s non-negotiable. I always wish there was one closer to home because I find myself thinking about it way more often than is reasonable.

Nice people, good environment, but if you're looking for authentic brazilian cuisine, this is not it. The only thing brazilian in this place was the flag and the cheese bread

My wife is gluten intolerant and this place has been a go to whenever we visit Bozeman thanks due to its great gluten free options. Super tasty and fresh, plus hearty portions. Big fan of the sweet potatoes. Decent prices too, you can walk away paying 11 dollars for a lunch. Highly recommend!

Never has Feijoada available - literally their “Brazilian Stew”
