We love 5 on Black but we just wish they had more locations outside of Montana!
Their food is fresh, well seasoned, and well cooked. All of their food is gluten free & refined sugar free. It’s a great healthy meal full of a variety of nutrients. As a bonus, you can customize your meal to your preferences.
Our favorite combo is the spring & rice mix, chicken, sweet potatoes, coconut sauce, chimichurri, lime, and cilantro. It has just a little bit of spice but is well balanced by the sweet potatoes and lime.
We’ve been multiple times to the Bozeman location and had friendly service. This time, the pão de queijo was over cooked and hard as a rock. However, every other time, the pão de queijo was soft and chewy.
A lot of their drinks were out of order, but their ice and water still worked.
Vegetarian options: Veggies and tofu options.

First time here. Was very excited to try. Got a small ($10) bowl.
I specifically asked what to avoid for spicy. I was told two items, nothing else had heat.
I got spring mix, roasted vegetables, collard greens, mango BBQ, all of which they said had _no_ heat.
I ended up with a bowl that would be at least a 2 at any Indian restaurant. Sweating, stomach upset.
I don't get it. Why is knowing your food so hard?
Disappointed.

Food was ok, rice was a little too hard and sweet potatoes weren’t cooked as much as I like. Staff was sitting on the counters the food was it was a little gross. Tables and drink/silverware area weren’t very clean. Guy taking our order seemed like he didn’t want to be working and spooned our food into bowls aggressively.

The guys didn't seem too happy, but the food was delicious. And we really enjoyed the atmosphere- it was a little busy but it wasn't loud to where we couldn't have a conversation.

Amazing fresh and flavorful. Although I prefer going to all vegan places, when there are none around, a place like five on black is as good as it gets. Aside from the meat toppings everything else is vegan and it was all delicious. From collard greens to black beans to an incredible spicy coconut sauce and mango barbecue sauce, we loved everything.

Really good fast casual Brazilian food. As others have pointed out, this is basically a much better version of Chipotle with a Brazilian flair. Everyone working there was very chill.
Food was good. I asked to add all vegan friendly options to my bowl.

Was referred by someone we met in Bozeman. We were looking for good vegan options. I ended up eating there three times in two days. Wish I could have taken them with me when I left. Delicious vegan, gluten free burritos. I do wish there was a no-oil option, because the roasted veggies were exactly what I needed. There's no need for oil. But Five on Black was a great choice, very very fast, and they were super helpful trying to meet my needs.

Beans and rice with a dab of tilapia, chicken or beef for too much $$$. Half the solfdrinks in dispenser were empty. I have a difficult time believing that tilapia is on the "Argentine Grill" menu. Boze Angeles hype.
