Good beer and good food on real German style! The manager and owner, knows her job and it was a pleasure going there for lunch! See you again on the next trip to Bozeman!

Really good food, and a great beer selection. The location is a bit weird being attached to a theater I had some trouble finding it initially. The service was good and the staff professional and attentive even though you don’t really have a waiter you just order at the bar. I went in after a long 20 mile trail run, and was super bonked, the staff was patient and gave me the time I needed to figure it out the menu. The bathrooms were clean too and were properly stocked with soap and paper towels which I generally consider a good sign of kitchen hygiene. Would recommend if you’re looking for a spot to chill long term, get some brew, some pretzels and shoot the breeze. Great atmosphere. The only downside is it’s a bit pricey for the portion sizes. But with downtown Bozeman going the way of cowboy bars and boutiques it’s nice to have something with a theme that isn’t sports or cowboys. No shade on the cowboys and sports bars that can be fun too it’s just it seems every bar and restaurant in town is leaning into the success and popularity of a certain TV show.

This is the wurst hotdog joint I have ever been in. It is a sausage fest … and it is so good!

Located upstairs from the Rialto Theater on Bozeman, Montana’s Main Street, Gute Laune specializes in some seriously awesome German hipster cuisine. The place has a feel of a Bavarian bratwurst speakeasy. The menu boasts six different bratwurst varieties but also includes Lion’s Mane Mushroom Schnitzel, a Bavarian picnic plate (charcuterie), a kielbasa Philly, and a Bohemian truffle flatbread with a rotating selection of German beers and ciders.

I had The Bavarian bratwurst — a classic brat topped with tangy sauerkraut, sweet mustard, and crispy fried onions on a pretzel bun — with a Bembel cider. I added the fries and they could’ve fed three people. So good!

The service was great and the vibe was mellow.

Give this place a try if you are in Bozeman and looking for something a little different.

Super hidden, but super great vibes. German style beer hall with liter steins! Great place to gather some friends and grab some brats! The kielbasa was delicious and the spicy mustard complimented it even further. The apple streusel was not warm as advertised but very pleasant

Delicious food (I go for the fries and arugula salad every time), and they have great beer in big ‘ole steins! The atmosphere is great for hanging with your big group of friends, and the staff is friendly and helpful! Awesome spot :)

So disappointed. We liked this place a lot but NEVER again… so sick…
We also felt from prior visits that one or two of the staff are not suited for customer facing roles, lacking basic politeness and friendliness. The girls who have taken our order were very nice and friendly but the people who bring the food to the table not so much, like we were putting them out.

Neither here nor there. Not the worst place but would likely not go back given the price for a wurst that taste like ones you can get from the grocery store.

Not impressed at all. First off 10-20$ price range is way off unless you are planning to dine on a side of potato salad and ice water! Ordered the jalapeno bratwurst with spicy mustard grilled onions and peppers, and a side of fries no drink 26$ with 15%tip. I get home and open the container to see a dry shriveled sausage on one side of the container and a square grilled piece of bread on the other.. humm no bun no toppings that I paid an extra 3 dollars for just bread and meat, and I have to put my own condiments on it. What a disaster man do I feel dooped! 9$ for the fries which were nothing to be proud of. Shm dang I was so excited for a decent German restaurant this is not it. Good luck to them.
