Great time at Three Fish! Food was on par for high expectations, the best omakase in the state! Chef Paul and his staff were all friendly and attentive. My friends and I will definitely return.

High quality ingredients and delicately prepared plates but certainly not worth the asking price. With the seating at the bar you have the opportunity to interact with the chef, Paul. Paul is a very proud and opinionated character, leading to shallow conversation and is not worth the interaction. I do not recommend spending your time or money at Izakaya Three Fish.
You just can't get fish and cocktails and old rocky mtn vibe like this anywhere in the intermountain west. Paul and crew curate a wonderfully unique experience that you'd have to buy a plane ticket to San Francisco to get otherwise. And this is less expensive than a plane ticket (just barely) and so worth it!!

An unbeatable omakase experience. Laid back, yet top tier sushi. Nothing like it anywhere around.

From start to finish this place will knock your socks off. Super friendly interactions with all staff and of course Paul is a most special and daring chef. We were introduced to this place by our kids who love fun, unique and delicious food. The drinks are refreshing and top shelf.

Idk how anyone gave this place 1 star but we went here last night and it was really cool. The food was great, the chef was a really chill dude who is passionate about what he does. All the staff were a great to be around. This is dinner and an experience. I'd come here again.

Literally the best dining experience in my life. Maddi and Paul were absolutely amazing. Only 8 people are served at a time which makes the experience much more intimate. You don’t know what you’re going to be served, hence the term omakase, but that is what’s exciting about it! We were served mackerel, red fin bream, yellow fin tuna(sashimi and cooked), homemade silken tofu, firefly squid, black seasame ice cream and so much more. Don’t worry about leaving this place hungry because you will definitely be satisfied. There is nothing like this in Montana, so if you’re adventurous and love trying new things, definitely do this!

Did I think that visiting Bozeman, MT would lead to me finding one of my favorite restaurant experiences? No. Did it happen? Yes. The perfect culmination of a wonderful dining experience and phenomenal food. You sit at the counter and get to watch a lot of this meal get created in addition to chatting with chef Paul. You then get to have your option of the best cocktails Bozeman has to offer created by Maddi. Don’t balk at the price tag, embrace the experience because you won’t be let down. I will be back here every time I’m in Bozeman because this is a top 5 restaurant in the US for me.

Service was very good - wait staff took orders promptly, kept water glasses filled, food arrived quickly, dishes cleared promptly, and bill arrived in timely manner. The calamari was delicious, and we especially liked the Johnny Ringo.
Chef Paul, his FOH Maddy and Sous Marcus provided a wonderful dining experience. Is it expensive? Yes. To bring the quality of fish and other ingredients to the mountain west costs money, and in the intimate environment which they work it is a necessity to keep the doors open. If you are picky, skip it. If you have an ego, skip it. Approach the staff as humans and you will be rewarded with an unrivaled experience in Bozeman. Certainly one of the best if not the best experience I’ve had had here and I am excited for what is next.

Amazing food, drinks, ambiance and service. Paul and Maddi are as good as it gets. We are so lucky to have them in Bozeman, they’d succeed anywhere in the world with their palettes, skill, and attention to detail.
