Delicious food that highlights local, in season ingredients and has something for everyone's tastes and dietary needs! I have celiacs and it it always wonderful to find a place with knowledgeable staff and lots of gluten free menu options. It might become one of my favorite places in Bozeman!Dietary restrictions: Very knowledgeable staff with lots of gluten free options for celiacs.

I did not take pictures and I am annoyed! The food here is excellent! The chef is of up for the James Beard award! We always get the fried carrots and pork tamales- so freaking good! Try to sit at the bar to watch them cook! Desserts are great too, and the have organic wine! 10/10 would recommend!

I love good farm to table fare and this place didn’t disappoint. Best pork chop I’ve had in a long time! Sat at the bar and drooled over all the dishes being plated. Great staff.

What a delightful surprise! A friend, and fellow restaurateur, chose The Little Star Diner after a quick trip to Costco. We had a table reservation but opted to sit at the counter once we realized our dinner included a show. 5 stars for the food as well as the show. The staff behind the line were like choreographed dancers the way they seamlessly moved in and out of each other, hardly speaking a word amongst each other. The limited interaction they had with the guests made it feel like you were watching a play on Broadway. We finished our fabulous meal right about the time they were shutting the line down and were able to catch the attention of one of the chefs, John. He was extremely humble about his position, not often the case. The shirt, but intimate conversation with him, added to the intrigue of the whole dining experience. My friend and I both left saying it was one of the most amazing dining experiences we’ve ever had and can’t wait to go back!

Not a diner. Had OK service. Decent menu. Good food, but nothing spectacular. Drinks are fine. There are better choices in Bozeman. I would go again though.

This is by far our favorite place in town. The menu has such a great contrast of wonderful veggie dishes, awesome meats and the best noodle dishes. Every bite made me have to leave this review at the table! Keep up the love for great food! It’s almost hard to find something like this anymore.

I had the privilege of working at this incredible restaurant many years ago, and to this day, it continues to hold a special place in my heart. The restaurant's owners embody a philosophy that is truly remarkable. Their commitment to zero waste, unpretentious charm, and the art of scratch cooking is a rare find in the world of dining. I have since moved away from Bozeman, but I always make a point to return to Little Star when I am in town.

The absolute best thing in Bozeman, and one of the most memorable meals we have had while traveling. We were skeptical that a place that calls itself a "diner" with wildly ranging dishes on the menu like banh mi (always a red flag for me, as a Viet), kebabs, tacos, and house-made pastas, could succeed. But boy did they. I typically don't like trout, and the flathead trout tacos bowled both of us over. I still think of those tacos sometimes. The menu has since changed, but we ordered an Asian sauteed greens dish to share for some veg, and it exceeded my expectations. Their kamut noodles are obviously their specialty, so we got tagliatelle that was the perfectly consistency and exploding with flavor. The only drawback is their drink menu is a little short, and I think a lot of the food would be boosted by a wine pairing.

When we saw that this place was called "diner," we expected a much different vibe. We were very pleasantly surprised. My sister and I made a reservation for a Thursday PM and this place was pretty packed upon entering, so I am glad we did. We ordered the Sourdough Pita Mezze Plate as a starter to share. Each item was well curated. The little orange tomatoes were so perfectly sweet. The pita bread and the hummus with chili oil was divine. For a main course, we ordered 2 dishes to share between the two of us -- the organic double cheeseburger and the gnocchi + matsutake mushrooms. The burger was simple, but very nicely done. The gnocchi was so pillowy and melted in our mouths. The matsutake mushrooms were also delicious and have a meat-like texture. I wanted a glass of wine, but the price at $14/$15 per glass felt a little steep. I ended up getting a beer instead. Overall great experience!
