Fun little bakery cafe with a nice menu of homemade comfort foods with fresh baked bread. I had the breakfast special. The eggs were perfect, and the hash browns crisp on the outside and light on the inside. The fresh baked rye toast was delicious.

I've always loved this place BUT I'm sad to report that something has gone WRONG with the quality of their food. My last two visits have turned my opinion to 5 star to a generous 2 star review. I ordered an omelet with hash browns and sourdough toast. The hash browns were raw, soggy and greasy. Not crispy at all. The toast was not toasted or buttered. The omelet was devoid of flavor and when I mentioned it to the owner, he just gave me a dumbfounded look that matched the dumbfounded staff that now works in their kitchen. Sorry, Mama Macs has unfortunately lost their special touch.

I ordered a special breakfast with bacon and was fairly disappointed. My toast was just warm rye bread, my overeasy eggs were overhard, my bacon was overcooked and my potatoes were just fine.
Overall, the food will keep me away, and I live in Four Corners. It's worth the effort to just drive into Bozeman for a better breakfast at a similar price point.
The servers were polite, but that's about all I can say in a positive manner.
