Awesome sushi find in Bozeman. Was not looking for this for dinner but couldn’t not eat here - great spot. Service awesome. Food great.

The veggie ramen has fish broth in it, which is not vegetarian. What we ordered instead was very good, but it felt very deceptive for the ramen to be listed as vegetarian but not be. If we had known we would have gone to a different restaurant.
The waitress was great through and did tell us before we ordered

The positive:
The food was all around fantastic barring the rangoons needing to cook a tiny bit longer.
My wife and I ordered the Rangoons as the app which was good but they were a little too much on the soft side. This may be a personal preference on the hardness of rangoons so take this with a grain of salt. The flavor though was top notch.
The 3 rolls of sushi were also all very good. Presentation was beautiful and the balance of flavors were near perfect. My soy sauce spent the night unused due to how good the sushi was.
And finishing off with the Moshi was a perfect end to the night.
The cons:
Beer selection. It was pretty light. The place has a style and vibe it is going for so it's understandable that the beer selection is much smaller than it's impressive sake selection.
It's a slight con to me but not one worth really knocking a star for. Especially since I don't know what sake I would like. Though the price of the unknown drinks felt prohibitive.
Seating. This unfortunately isn't something that can be fixed at the establishments current location. Yes they have outdoor seating that feels more private but the indoor is just overall crowded. You will get very friendly with your neighbors in this restaurant.
This crowded seating arrangement also made the restaurant very loud. Unfortunately this is symptom of the restaurant being successful.
My main con is the price. This is also something that simply with being in Bozeman you can't get away from and you come to expect. Compared to other sushi restaurants in the area however, this one is slightly more expensive per roll. We spent just over 100$.
But over all I still rate Hooked 5 stars. Most of the issues, if not all are simply something caused by location or the success of the restaurant. If it was dead and quiet I would have enjoyed my time a lot more. But I'm sure the owner would have it the opposite way.
If you are comfortable being comfortable next to a stranger and love sushi I'd say definitely give this place a try.

Food is good but definitely overpriced. I ordered sushi and my bf ordered ramen. He got his ramen very soon but I waited almost 30min for my sushi to come 😭 by the time I have my sushi, my bf already finished his ramen 😭😭😭

Went for our 24th Wedding Anniversary. The food was amazing! The staff was on point and fantastic. You know it's good when it all melts in your mouth and you do NOT need soy sauce. Highly recommend. Definitely off the Hook 😃

Amazing customer service and even better sushi!!! I’m from Miami and moved here not too long ago, I’ve been looking for a good and authentic sushi spot and finally came across one. Will definitely be coming regularly :)

I hate to give Hooked a good review because then it might get too busy and we won't be able to get a table! Time and time again they continue to impress us. We LOVE the flavors of rolls, the rice is always perfectly cooked, and service is always great. Everything is fresh, great for a family or great for a date night.

Chefs hand roll was superb, the shrimp tempura was okay and the tokontsu ramen wasn't worth the price. Good base, mediocre noodles and pork was practically burnt to a crisp. Service was great and atmosphere was super chill.
For a montana sushi spot it's worth a seat but it's definitely overpriced.

Hands down the best sushi in Bozeman! A great blend of traditional rolls and creative combinations that pop in your mouth. Their ramen is excellent too!
This is hands down the BEST sushi in Bozeman. The quality and freshness of their fish is incredible! Especially considering this is a landlocked state. The service is always great and this place makes an excellent date night spot. High end like much of downtown as far as eateries go. Worth every penny! Highly recommend! Favorite roll here is the classic Rainbow Roll!

We got our late dinner and it was perfect. The highlights were their miso soup (red miso!) and calamari.
We got two special rolls- Going to the sun and Yojimbo- they were both too salty for us. The ahi tuna is super fresh!
