We eat at Open Range every year at the end of our ski vacation. We are never disappointed. The ambience and service are outstanding. The food is very good. The bison steak is amazing. The 8oz filet is very good but it's thick and difficult to uniformly cook. The outside was medium well and the middle was rare. They make an awesome maple old fashion drink. Good, but price wine selection.
We came here to celebrate my daughters birthday. Excellent service, the food was delicious and they made it special with a special birthday dessert. Great ambiance and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend
We had a wonderful time. Our waitress was amazing. She was very helpful with menu choices and recommendations. The food was superb. The house made rolls were a hit! The French Onion soup was soo good we had to order another! The maple pecan salmon had great flavor! Everyone enjoyed their steaks and sides. Overall a great evening with even better food!
The best steak and food by far in Bozeman. As a steak snob, they hit it out of the park! Incredible food all around!!
Presentation was good and ambiance was nice. Food was unfortunately subpar for the price and expectation of fine dining.
We were visiting family in Bozeman and looking for a place to host a special gathering on our 37th anniversary. After searching the local reviews we chose Open Range and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was cozy, intimate and family friendly. Overall a great place for a good time.
Waiter sold us on a steak special that was totally inedible. Meat was so tough I could barely cut through it even sawing it with a steak knife. Waiter said this was equivalent to a tenderloin filet and it was more like beef jerky. I've actually had beef jerky more tender. I never send food back or complain about food but this was so bad I had to send it back. Asparagus side was good. Got truffle fries as a side and those were practically burnt. Husband got a ribeye which was pretty good but nothing special. Wedge salad was marginal. Not much blue cheese or bacon on the salad. Ambiance and wine were both nice. Staff great but would not go back due to the food quality.
Excellent service. Setting was pleasant and the food was great. The live music was very fun. Great overall atmosphere!
Fabulous Tomahawk steak dinner. We had salad and truffle fries which was delicious. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Bozaman.
Our server Wyatt was amazing. And the food was great too. We got the Chicken Parm and Steak Frites and the portion sizes were huge. The drinks were also really fun and the Oktoberfest beer was good. Would highly recommend!

This place is dying. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. Place is a morgue. We only had a cocktail and left. Steak house a block away was packed with a waiting list. Not sure this place is gonna last
First time there - it was great. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. We'll be back.
All four of our dinners were prepared incorrectly. The three steaks were ordered Medium and came Rare, and the pork came very over done. Great servers and beautiful atmosphere. Fourth time my meal has been wrong in five visits. I won't ever be returning. Locals, you have better options with MUCH better value. Tourists, have fun. It's on you this restaurant survives.
We had an amazing meal! The quality at Open Range and their Montana beef was exceptional. We got the Tomahawk medium rare and it was cooked to perfection, not an easy task. Carissa was our server, she was wonderful to converse with and service was spot on. Can't wait to come back!
Being from NY, these are NY steak prices and quality. Sides and appetizers were all excellent. However, the service doesn't support to the prices. Not out servers fault, she was hustling as fast as she could. Under staffed, no food runner prevented her from investing in the experience for our party. Really close but if you want to be a top tier steak house, give the employees the tools to be successful.
