I gave up on Outback 5-6 years ago. Where it was one of my favorite steak chains at one time, it went into a rapid tailspin and I wasn't willing to crash with it. So I walked away. Moved on to Longhorn as my better than average steakhouse. But every once in awhile I missed those bold, borderline aggressive, flavors and seasonings. Curiosity and a bit of stress (I am a comfort stress eater) finally drove me back to the aussie side. And it hit home. Swung for the fences in fact. Everything was exactly as I remembered in it's prime...well mostly. Appetizer was served quick and hot. And the mozzarella boomerangs, although a bit silly, were some of the best mozzarella sticks I have ever had. Smooth and creamy mozzarella cheese with a good pull and a light but crunchy coating with good seasoning. Some restaurants eating mozzarella is more like chewing gum. These were superb. Bread: warm & soft. Entrees (steak, alice springs chicken, bloomin' chicken) all hot, fresh and seasoned with gusto. Salads were crisp and well dressed. Nobody serves a salt jacket baked potato like Outback. Don't know that they invented it but they certainly perfected it. And our server was the best. Quick, accurate, attentive. Glasses never empty, empty dishes never lingered. Only complaint/criticism the fries. I recall the fries being something special (handcut perhaps?) The fries now leaned more towards the everyday. Solid showing with ample cheese and bacon...and that Outback ranch! But the fries themselves were good, well seasoned, but not as outstanding as my memories. Over all it was more than I hoped for. Hit the spot. Lead me down memory lane. Seasoned everything with gusto. And got me to thinking maybe the Outback should make it's way back into a regular rotation.

Today I drove back to Bozeman from Rapid City in less-than-ideal road conditions and chose Outback specifically because they offer lobster tails. When placing my order, I clearly asked for lobster tails along with several steaks and sides.
When I got home, the lobster tails were missing. I called the restaurant and was told they did hear me ask for them — the server just never entered it. Even though I wasn’t charged, it’s disappointing to choose this place solely for something they’re known for and not receive it.
After this experience, I’ll be looking for another place that offers both lobster tails and steak. Accuracy and attention to detail matter, especially on a larger order.

Braden was an all star, he took care of us plus the entire section AND the bar with little to no help from his fellow co-workers.
He and the bus boy literally run the entire place by themselves I wouldn’t be surprised if he worked the grill in the back as well. Whatever it is you are paying him is simply not enough

I enjoyed lunch at the Outback Steakhouse. The burger was above average and atmosphere was pleasant. Service was excellent. Recommended.

The best thing about our visit was the waitress (and the cheesecake). Food was ok. But our waitress took care of 7 tables all by herself for a good portion of our time there. She treated us incredibly well while trying to prioritize each of her tables. Boxed our food for us and wrote our names including our kids names on them with a smile on her face and sweat pouring down her face. Not one complaint from her. But the cheesecake was pretty good too.

My husband and I are both Iraqi combat veterans. I am air force and he is army. They would only honor one veteran on veterans day special. It was extremely offensive.

My husband and I were super disappointed. We’ve had good experiences at the Outback but this wasn’t one. It took forever for our food so we just got more loaves of bread. Steak was totally not seasoned at all. Our waitress was sweet and kind bringing over crayons and toy cars for our toddler. For the pricing- not worth the wait.

It was good
Great food. Good customer service. However, after waiting 10 minutes we seated ourselves. Extensive waiting from beginning to end. It was not busy. Including our table, there may have been 7-8.

We got a bloomin onion that was very underwhelming. It was burnt and was mostly breading. We ordered a burger med-well and it came out half rare and half med-rare. Ordered chicken and shrimp pasta and got the bottom 1/3 of a breast. The shrimp was small and half tail The Alfredo sauce was watery. Shannon had good service

Love sitting at the bar and enjoy All the bartenders. Food is always great and consistent. Price points for this area are affordable.

We have eaten at this chain many times in many cities and do enjoy their food. This time the onions were a bit overfried but the fried chicken sandwiches were tasty. We came in mid afternoon and there was only one person on staff and while she tried her best there were too many tables to keep up with.
