used to be the best, but burritos are no where what they used to be. Kick in the pants has little to no jalapeño jelly, i thought it had cream cheese at one point. Just globs of hash browns now. Will not be going back.
Love the breakfast burritos, especially the spicy pig. My only complaint is that the burritos are never wrapped fully closed and there is always stuff falling out of them, making it a bit messy and annoying to eat.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Used to really love it, but I think the quality has gone downhill. I eat here fairly frequently, and the kitchen seems to mess up orders and put out sloppy food much of the time now. For instance, I ordered a burrito and paid extra to add black beans—kitchen didn’t include them. I and others I know have experienced mistakes like this frequently. My coworker orders burritos with no eggs, and they frequently still put eggs in her burrito. Could be very serious for someone with an allergy. I don’t think food safety is a big priority for them. The worst food safety issue I experienced was my husband found a small piece of plastic in his burrito. We called and left a voicemail, but never heard back. No apology or explanation of how it happened or that they corrected the issue. The burritos aren’t even rolled up correctly anymore and fall apart. Just disappointing.

I've Lived here for awhile now and had been recommended this joint a few times over the years. It had never lined up in my schedule to give it a try. Come to find out a week ago they have the best cinnamon Twist things on the god damned planet. So I go in today and grabbed some of those and A "red neck" burrito and holy cow that thing was amazing. Amazing friendly and fast service and great steaming hot food. Can't wait till I make the time to go again. - Friends over at Montana Fence
Dietary restrictions: They Held the cheese and eggs off my Burrito no problem and didn't complain a bit when I asked. Made me feel good for ordering something I thought sounded great minus things I shouldn't have.

After 6+ years of supporting this business, I'm sad to say I will never give them another dime. I live 15 miles away from their establishment and always have loved their food, but the last 6 months the breakfast burritos (what everyone goes there for) have been horrendous. There will be insides on the outside of the burrito when I unwrap the tin foil, and all the insides are thrown in there with 0 care, eg: Meat and potato at the top of the burrito, egg in the middle of the burrito, and ALL THE JALEPENOS, CHEESE, and CHIPOTLE RANCH at the bottom. Like yeah that's what I want a bunch of plain potato and egg and then BAM mouthful of toppings YUMMY. All that would be fine, as I haven't complained yet. The straw that broke the camels back was today, when the OWNER refused to refund me after an employee said on the phone I would be getting a refund. They forgot eggs in my biscuits and gravy meal. I called to let them know and worked out that it would be a good compromise to refund my whole meal since the $3 extra for the eggs wouldn't even cover my gas out there (I paid in cash so I had to drive 15 miles each way... again). Then when I got there they said they could only refund me the value of the eggs. I said that wasn't what we agreed on and they got the owner to come talk with me. She laughed at me when I said $3 didn't cover the gas to come back out there. I tried to explain my situation and how much business I've given them, but she obviously cares more about being right than keeping a customer for life. Could have given me back my whole $13 just once and I would've kept getting my weekly breakfast there.
Edit - posting the owners response since they realized it proved my point

What a gem! We were looki.g for a place to grab a bite before our flight out of Bozeman and came across Rise and Shine Cafe. Thank goodness that we did because the food was amazing! Not only was it open early, with food ready to both as a din-in and stop-and-go option as early as 6am.
I had an OJ and the Montana Redneck Burrito which was bursting to the brim in its tortilla with yummy goodness. My husband had the Western steak burrito and it was also fully loaded.
I would highly recommend this place!!! It was amazing!

As a lifelong local the the Bozeman area - R&S is our families favorite breakfast spot in all of the valley! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, love the bright, fresh feel of the space and the food is always amazing. Even if there is a line it always moves quick. The scones are to die for (seriously the best I’ve had) along with all their other bakery choices. Oh and their homemade biscuits never disappoint. I love that they have a rotating menu of seasonal specials to look forward to and you can tell how much thought detail is put into each item. Even my littles love it!
A locally - sweet little family owned - small town gem. Definitely stop by and take a triple berry scone and huckleberry lemonade for the road ;)

Once was a great spot for breakfast. Now the breakfast burritos are terrible, and at $10 each, a real Bozeman value. If you want a good fast breakfast, go to Chalet Market or Hero’s.

My hash browns took up most of the plate, giving me a small portion of biscuits and gravy. The hash browns were cold and slightly raw. I ordered a side of bacon and the two pieces cost $3, and they were also cold. No real service, you go up to a counter and order, you go up to the counter to get your own silverware and napkins. Some food will come out on ceramic plates other food will come out in a cheap plastic basket. The inside was very cute inside but the food was very underwhelming.

Service and atmosphere is fine. Workers all great.
Got a burrito, whoever made it didn't even try to wrap it. Hash browns were cold, raw. Sausage gravy was meaty (which I liked) and the biscuits were good.
Wasn't busy when we popped in.
