Have visited eaten at Roost a number of times since Jan 2025. It is never consistent. They run out of food before closing time. Always misses extra sauces when order. The bama sandwich is hit or miss. Sometimes I get a medium amount of chicken sometimes is a few pieces. Mashed potatoes are meh most of the time. Mac and cheese is hit or miss. Watched the diners drive in a dives episode from years ago. And the food that is served now isn’t anything like was shown on the episode. Wait times on some occasions have been extremely long for take out orders if you don’t order on line.

The chicken strips are HUGE! The three strips will be plenty for even the hungriest. The 8 is ok to share for a family of 4. Nashville chicken was perfect.

We returned here after coming pre-pandemic because we were so excited to be back. Unfortunately, the food and service were really lacking this time around. The chicken tenders were fine, but lacked flavor. Someone else in our party got the chicken sandwich which was the best thing to order four years ago, but not anymore.
The service was basically nonexistent. You have to get your own silverware and drinks, so why do you have to tip before receiving your meal? It doesn’t make sense.
The coleslaw was the best part of my meal, and even that was not amazing. It was also $13 for three chicken tenders and one side. At least offer two sides to justify the price.
We will not be back. Very underwhelming for the price.

Sorry, I couldn’t get past the price. I’m not from around here but when I saw $42 for 8 pieces with 2 side I almost fell out ! I can buy 8 pieces of really excellent fried chicken in my local food store in my state for $7.99 and I’m being honest I’ve had Popeyes, Bojangles, kfc. And others so I feel I’m a pretty good judge of fried chicken.
