We've been to Shan about 6-7 times over the course of the last few years for date nights and special occasions. The food is incredible. The spices and flavor in each entree is next level. We always send friends who visit and family members to Shan if they want a special evening and an amazing meal. When you walk in, the place smells so good. You can smell the spices and everything cooking. We typically get dumplings and drinks first, and then get about 4 items to share between the two of us. A salad, dan dan noodles, ribs, and something off their evening specials list is typically what we do. We get reservations a couple weeks before hand so we can get in and sit at a table. They are busy for a reason... There food is amazing! And service is great!
Update 2025: We've come to Shan 3 times thus far this year and the meals have been incredible. We typically make an early reservation so we can get dumplings, since they run out. We went out last night with friends to celebrate a birthday, and had yet again another amazing experience. Jessica was our waitress and she so friendly, helpful, and on top of things. The owner ( Jarrett ) stopped over to say hi and check in on things. He is great and runs a top notch restaurant and team.
A couple new items we tried out were the Green Curry, beef salad, and then the Tres Leches Cake and Coffee Jelly for desert. All were great choices!! When you go with a group of 4-6 poeple it is great because you can share everything and get the opportunity to try more entrees. The food and experience is very reasonably priced in our opinion, especially when you go with a bit of a group and split up a bill.
We will be back to celebrate the next special occasion!
Easily the best food in Bozeman, probably the best food in Montana. You must try the ribs, lamb dumplings, chicken wings, Panang curry, and the Dan Dan noodles. Make a reservation!

What an experience! From dishes, beverages to service I was remarkably blown away! For not having a reservation, I got in on a Saturday night in a speedy 15 minutes. The wine menu was amazing, as a sommelier, I was impressed! And Grace our server was quick to check in for a welcome, menu tour, and knowledge. When food dropped it was made sure it was to standard by her promptly. I'll be sure to be a new regular!

Superb food! Make a reservation! The ribs are wonderful, there's a nice twist on tomato salad, super atir fried cabbage.. .those all sound like ordinary things but the chef steps it all up 5 notches for complex flavors & presentation.

Place is so good I’m almost angry. As a Taiwanese who has had a lot of Asian cuisine growing up, this place honestly does it better than some local places I’ve been to. Every dish is flavorful and authentic. I’m just blown away. Giving this place five stars for the food alone but the vibes and service are also top notch.

This place lives up to the hype. Fantastic food and service. The kitchen staff are some of the most talented chefs in Bozeman. Everytime I've gone, it's been absolutely spectacular.
The best green curry I have ever had. I dream about the creamy eggplant. The cilantro heirloom salad is a must. The Nebbiolo wine compliments the green curry perfectly!

Let me start off by saying. I was blown away by every single thing that I ordered! These guys have it nailed. Not only is their food dynamite, but their service and atmosphere is top notch. They are like a well-oiled machine.! I am an executive chef and run my own restaurant, and I have to say these guys are in my top 3 favorite restaurants to eat @ in Gallatin County! 5 Stars
