Pretty sure Shan is the best place where Asian and Montanan flavors meet the best ingredients and the most authentic family style dining experience in the area ? couldn't have been happier with the aromatic cummin lamb noodles. The earth's 3 treasures taste just like home. The ribeye ?... Oh the ribeye was perfectly smoked and then grilled sealing in the magic ? Cannot wait to come back and try everything else ?

This is a foodie’s review.
Shan is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. This is big city food. This is not your classic Bozeman food. Foodies, this is your place. I’ve traveled all over the world and this place makes the top three. You must try the curry. So good.
It was my partner’s first time trying Thai food (severe peanut allergy) and it went fantastic. We will be back!

This place is incredible—you HAVE to check it out! Make a reservation and get here, even if you have to wait two hours. Trust me, it’s worth it. And whatever you do, get the green curry beef. WOW!

Food continues to be good but this recent experience was not as pleasant as previous experiences. Our group made reservations well in advance and when we arrived we were sat in one of the entryway tables which was a disappointment. This area is very loud and busy. We seemed to be rushed a bit with ordering and food but not checked on often for drink orders. I will be back because the food is so good but hoping to get the more enjoyable vibe back.

Such a great experience. The food is as good as you’re going to find anywhere. Try the steak (you’re in for a treat)!
But the biggest shout out goes to the staff - everyone is a pro and they help elevate the experience that much more - they were fun, knowledgeable, and just “on it.”
Kudos to the entire team!

Great atmosphere, service is great but make a reservation. Decor is nice and I enjoy that the food is actually spicy. Be careful if that isn’t your thing.

Finally visited Shan on a date night. After living in Shanghai, China, I never thought I would taste such authentic Asian Cuisine again. The Dan-Dan noodles are EXCELLENT! (SPICY SO BEWARE - but delicious!) We had the jerky as well and it was excellent. Was seated at the bar and had a great time watching the kitchen and talking with the servers! Great place to get great food!

After trying many restaurants in the U.S., I have to honestly say that this is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to! On my way to Yellowstone, I stopped by Bozeman and was pleasantly surprised to find authentic Asian cuisine that even surpassed many dishes I’ve had back home. From the ingredients to the seasoning and cooking techniques, everything was flawless. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and friendly.
In addition to being authentic, the chef has added their own interpretation to the dishes, perfectly blending tradition and innovation, making the food even more delicious.
After finishing my trip to Yellowstone, I returned to Bozeman and couldn’t resist visiting the restaurant again. This time, I ordered different dishes, and Shan did not disappoint. Once again, I cleared my plate! Every dish was outstanding. This restaurant truly deserves a five-star rating, and if you find yourself in Bozeman, it’s a must-try!
