Love the food and drink choices. Great atmosphere and customer service. Dessert was also tasty.

Tanglewood used to be our nice night out, date spot, spot we brought people to show them the best of Bozeman restaurants. The last few times we went it's been declining, the removed a favorite item from the menu and had it only as daily special on Fridays. So we went last night, the pork chop with cherry sauce is nowhere to be found. That's okay, but we waited forever to just get our water glasses filled, then I ordered a soda and that took about 20 minutes to get to us and the ice was melted. We order our dinner and they came out in a pretty quick time but both of our fries were cold and hard and my $32 lobster roll barely filled the hotdog bun (I know we're land locked and wasn't expecting much) but it had little to no flavor. We finished our meals and watched as our waitress had a long conversation with another table on our section, before she walked away, then came back to us a few minutes after that.

My wife and I love coming here for food and drinks or dessert and drinks. Love the atmosphere and the food is always really good. Good drinks too and the value for what you get is pretty good. I also love that my rewards from Sidewinders work here. So I get my rewards from family outings and then get to spend them on date night.

Every time I give this place another chance, I leave more disappointed than the last. Service is abysmal. Waiting and waiting and waiting at the bar while staff all walk by and even managers stare at me without asking if I need anything.
I sat and waited for over 10 minutes while the main bartender assigned to me didn’t make eye contact to ask if I wanted to order a drink, then as I finished my glass of water, my time limit to walk out, she came back just in time merely to fill my water since it was empty.
Lobster roll was decent for Montana. Better than most food on their menu, which honestly feels like food in a cheap hotel lobby bar and for the most part continues to go downhill from when they opened. Wine for happy hour and the coupon they sent out with “lobster roll and free 5oz draft wine” is lacking the asterisk that it’s their terrible house white wine, not a choice of any of their draft wines as one would expect with the language used. I asked for a check as I ordered my 5oz wine and they did not bring the check, I even pulled my card out and put it under the empty glass they took away to give the hint again after trying to catch a glance to ask for the check again. Not until I was sitting and waiting to leave for a few minutes did they finally grab my card to close me out. I don’t think they once gave a care or ask about me personally.
Sadly, I will probably end up back there since it is close and someone will invite me, but they really need to improve their quality. Their Blue Collar Restaurant monopoly on the real estate keeps rewarding a downward sliding scale of mediocrity for both service and quality of food.

Tanglewood is an awesome spot in Bozeman for a night out or a relaxed brunch. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern, perfect for enjoying their excellent selection of craft cocktails, local beers, and wines. Not too loud for conversation. The steak is a standout—perfectly cooked and full of flavor—but the menu offers much more, from creative appetizers like General Tso’s Cauliflower to indulgent desserts!

Pathetic. When they opened it was pretty good but the QC doesn’t exist. The worst part is the owner is a vet who is very successful and contributes to the community.
I do admit that some of the other restaurants are pretty decent, however Tanglewood is Hot Garbage. Do yourself a favor and stay away, far, far away.
Or, you can go and pay $12 for less than 1oz of meat. Do what you wish with this information.

Great food and atmosphere. The kids menu is an added bonus with options like roasted chicken and salmon with broccolini and some crispy fries. Being able to take my family out and get something healthy and delicious for the kids and a tasty menu for the parents is priceless. The service is great too!

Just ordered takeout. My burger was suppose to medium well and it was medium rare also had the steak frites and
Meatballs. Everything that was cooked on the grill was not good. You could taste everything that was cooked on the grill prior. Now I am burping up nothing but chargrilled nastiness. Might even get sick. And it was over 80 dollars that I am going to throw away.

I went last night so very excited to try the Prime Rib they had been advertising.. unfortunately they removed it from the menu the day before. We decided to stay as we were already there... to say it was disappointing is an understatement. The Blue Crab Beignet had Zero crab, visible nor taste or smell.. just fried dough. There is alot of pork choices but not much beef.. not even rib eye steak.. I asked if they could do their burgers rare and the waitress said yes but brought out a well done burger that was dry. Should have gone anywhere else but here.. won't be returning.. could be why the place was pretty empty customer wise.
I ordered a cast iron toffee cookie a few days ago, to-go since it was close to 9pm, and when I got home the cookie was less than satisfactory. Not a whole lot of cookie included for $14.
Our server was so, so wonderful. Definitely not a part of this problem at all.
The email listed ([email protected]) is not a viable address, it’s impossible to reach out to. I sent a message via Facebook Messenger but I assume they don’t check those as it’s unread. We decided to call tonight to see if we could get a replacement, the manager was happy to do so with a gift card that we used to ordered a new cookie. She was very kind!
Unfortunately the second cookie was burnt, this item may need to be taken off the menu if consistency is a problem! I have had this cookie in the past and it was perfect.
This review is purely based on this one little problem! Other than this the food was wonderful, the service was amazing, and our time there was so fun. I love coming in and will continue to.

Wow, we just had Mother's Day lunch. Huevos rancheros eggs perfectly cooked as ordered on heated plates. The guac was fresh, the beans & pico had a nice amount of heat. The honey chicken san was the best I've ever eaten. Layered flavors of salty sweet & pickled veg gies. The chick breast was crisply breaded, yet moist. Lived the brioche bun. Loads of fries! Great service. Music was a little too loud.
