Super sweet folks and a useful space to work but the food and beverages were such a disappointment. My 10 dollar dirty chai was pure syrup and there was so espresso in it, and by 10 dollar vegan burrito was just tortilla rolled over itself with flavorless rice and beans. Will not be going back.

I had a $25 gift card. They told me they switched systems and the gift card wasn’t reading so they couldn’t use it. I said - ok so I just lose my gift card because you switched systems? They would not honor the gift card- which is illegal if a store is still in business. The manager wouldn’t even give a coffee saying “I don’t have the authority to comp a coffee.” At Cafe M when they switched systems they still honored their old gift cards and when they had trouble running the card- they so graciously comped my coffee order. It’s shocking that a manager couldn’t authorize a drip coffee comp when they couldn’t honor a $25 gift card. So very very disappointing and it was my go- to spot since it is close to my house but I will never go there ever again.

I am normally not a huge matcha person, but their matcha is exceptional. My server Mary listened very well to what I wanted and customized my drink to make it more personal and it was absolutely delicious.

Love the dark roast which is from Studio Coffee. The service and pastries are great. No discount for bring your own cup (perpetuating single use even if compostable) and no punch card. Recommend.

This place has one of the best pastries you can purchase with your hard-earned money. It is called the bee sting and it is incredible. Unfortunately, for us the first thing we ate here was the bee sting and so we had very high hopes for all the other pastries. We were a little bit disappointed, and the others available. Here is a list of the ones we tried and improvements the shop can make to make them tastier.

Cinnamon pudding bread -
Consider adding apples to elevate this incredibly. A little plain tasting as is and needs something more.

Brownie -
The brownie had a hard crust on it. In order to make this better it needs to be dense, moist and soft. No one in the history of mankind has ever wished their brownie was crunchy.

Raspberry oat bar -
Too much oat, not enough raspberry.

Lemon bar -
Too much bar, not enough lemon.

Nanaimo bar -
Desperately needs a pinch of salt.

The studio coffee was amazing and as I said earlier, the bee sting is a must try so I will still give this place five stars.
