How the mighty have fallen. Once one of the best breakfasts in town, now is home to a severely understaffed catastrophe that fronts as a hip breakfast joint. We came in on a Sunday for brunch with our baby and had to wait for about 20 minutes to be sat. Not abnormal in downtown Bozeman for breakfast, however, upon being sat we were then completely forgotten about and had to demand servers attention as they dashed by trying to keep up with orders. The entire half of the restaurant was being serviced by 1 server. 5 tables that were sat after us received service for drinks, food and check before we even ordered our food. Finally, we were served our food about an hour after being sat and they forgot half of my wife’s order. We had to ask the bus girl to complete our order because the server was so overwhelmed. When trying to cash out, the server just kept walking head down past our table. It took us 45 minutes to cash out. The entire experience took over 2 and a half hours in total from being sat to cashing out. For two people. Do not come here if you expect service. Go to literally any of the other restaurants downtown, this one will severely disappoint.

Nova is a vibrant breakfast and lunch spot that immediately draws you in with its colorful ambiance and walls adorned with art from talented local artists. The atmosphere had an energetic yet welcoming vibe, with a nice mix of locals and visitors like myself. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure guests felt at home.
The menu is creative and vegan-friendly. I ordered the chia waffle with raspberry coulis, and it was absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented. Nova is one of those places where the food, atmosphere, and service all come together perfectly.
Highly recommend for a fresh, flavorful start to your day.
The Nova Café is hit or miss for me. When it’s good, it’s really good — but when it’s not, it falls flat. The pancakes are a generous portion, but I’ve had them come out cold multiple times. The coffee is solid, but the service can be inconsistent and sometimes feels a bit disengaged.
I’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and revisit every so often, but I keep getting mixed results. Personally, it’s a skip for me, though I’m sure others have had better experiences.

Vibes were all the way off at this place. It was not as good as I remember and the service was horrible host literally slammed our silverware down on the table and didnt really say that much to us. Then told me the waffle maker broke. Also, they didnt even try to fix the waffle machine. Found it funny it broke when I ordered it i just kinda think it was out of spite tbh. However the bowl I had was really good. Im not one to be a karen and I also work in food service myself but the vibes here were not it. Overall good food but bad service

Got the vegan huevos rancheros and it’s one of the best vegan breakfasts I’ve had! Staff is super kind and friendly. The latte was also amazing. Great spot.
