This is a truly unique experience for one of the oldest drinks in the world. We have been there a few times now and have had all of the meads and most of the food and they are all delicious. There is a type of mead for everyone from dry to sweet and spicy to savory.

"Lovely place," I hear, but only if you're a fan of having the owner's dog amble through and forage under your table and gaze longingly at your food. Not sure when it got ok, not to mention legal, to have dogs in establishments that serve food. I am not a dog-hater -- I just like to be able to choose when to interact with them, and not have to set a boundary with an unknown being's spit when I'm just trying to enjoy a meal.
