Wasabi Japanese Steak House

We were in a rush to get there, arrived 35 minutes before the posted closing time, and were denied entry !!!

This was by far the worst lunch experience. I just moved to town and was excited to try Wasabi’s sushi and hibachi but was highly disappointed. To start, we walked in and the bar seats we wanted to sit at were covered in old food and instead of the bartender cleaning it she asked us to sit somewhere else, which isn’t a huge deal. Then we noticed the sushi bar was the exact same, and was covered in old rice which made us decide against getting sushi. We ordered hibachi and the salad was brown and translucent indicating it was old, so we didn’t eat that. And lastly our hibachi was OK. Had the service been great, it could’ve helped but we weren’t even checked on during our entire experience, only for our initial order. I hate leaving a bad review but this was not ok and i feel like i wasted money.

This Japanese restaurant is pretty good. Large sushi portions and friendly staff. We have gone here many times and will return. Recommended.

Today, we had the worst experience we've ever had here. The chef who wearing a red hat, was very rude in attitude and communication. The food was saltier than previous visits. The only positive point was that the serving staff was very good and enthusiastic. We will definitely never come back here again.

Our server disappeared after giving us drinks and taking our order. She never returned to see if we needed a drink refill. One person in the party did not get his food until well after everyone was done eating. They ordered tempura shrimp. Got chicken and had it taken back after realizing the server served the wrong person. Very disappointed with the service Can’t rate the food since I never got it served to me

Very fun place to go with the family. If you don’t know hibachi is made and served in front of you. We’ve been to this one tons of times and it’s an amazing experience every time, the cooks are so nice and the food is amazing!!!

Wouldn’t take me as a customer for a hibachi dinner service because I was a single person, said they wouldn’t cook for me. That’s terrible customer service!!

I used to come here every other month (sometimes even weekly), but my last experience made me never want to come back. My fiance's fried rice tasted rancid and
smelled like wet dog so badly that I could smell it from across the table.. and my food lacked all the good things it used to be - only took 2-3 bites. I had to try to choke it down. I told the waitress, to which she did absolutely nothing to help rectify the situation. Wasted $100 here and will not do it again. I'm so upset that this is no longer my favorite place to eat and I'd even advise people to try somewhere else, such as Thai Basil, I-Ho's or literally any of the other Asian places in Bozeman.

Last time I went all of our cocktail glasses had red chunks stuck to the inside of glasses, my rice tasted like burnt rubber and portions were similar to a kids meal and overpriced!

Food is quite good. The experience is really cool gone many times. I absolutely love the fried rice and fillet.

My wife and I ate over here a couple days ago as we were driving through. The food was good but for the price of what we received it was ridiculous. My wife got the surf and turf and she only got 6 small pieces of steak and lobster. Her meal was $50 dollars mind you. I got the Filet mignon and it was 36 dollars and I got about 8 small pieces of cubed meat. So I wouldn’t eat here unless you want to be ripped off.

Can't wait to go back! Hibachi was great!
