A very local, cramped and popular (based on crowd) greasy spoon. We sat at the bar because we had a float trip to get to. Food was good and portions large. My son had a burrito and I had the scrambler--both were tasty. Hash browns were not my favorite. Coffee was ok. We made the bus!

I know this is an institution in Bozeman, but the food was just OK. Service was OK. They didn’t cook things the way I asked and the weight on a Wednesday morning at 10:45 was 20 minutes.

Went Sunday morning at 8:20. Was told 20-30 minutes. After people behind us were seated, we asked where we were on the list and were told we weren't on the list. Could clearly see our name crossed off. Asked if that was us and she said no. She said she would seat us next which she did. Having managed restaurants, had a lot of grace for the mistake. Server was quick to get to us. Ordered a soda and later asked for a refill. Was told she had to check to see if she could get us a refill. She came back and said she would have to charge us $3.50 again. Menu clearly calls out no refills on juice and milk- standard practice. Soda, tea, and coffee are not noted the same. Coffees are refilled. Soda is not. Coffee actually costs more than soda does. A year ago cost on a soda was approx. .12. Not having refills cost my business. I might have overlooked the fact that the biscuit was dry and crumbly, the gravy was thin and runny without flavor, the chicken fried steak was overly peppery (which some in my party preferred but one son did not and couldn't eat) , and the french toast was average. To be fair, after hearing the cinnamon roll was amazing, I was disappointed. I have probably been spoiled living in Kalispell and having Sykes and Ceres. I would have overlooked all of this and probably gone back at some point because the atmosphere was adorable, and our server did all she could to make the soda situation better, but the owner telling her she had to charge me for another soda was a bridge I can't cross. Don't drink coffee and want my morning caffeine. I will stick with Jam when I take my kids out for breakfast in 3 weeks. It never disappoints. As long as you are going to charge for refills, you should change your menu. Which also will cost you more than just refilling my soda.

Although this café is incredibly busy and absolutely full to capacity on my visit, I still did not have to wait no more than five minutes to be seated, which is an absolute plus even more amazing was the fact that my waitress took her time was attentive and we did not wait long to place our order or get our food when I say it was filled to capacity, it was filled capacity. We’ve even had an opportunity to chat with the owner for a brief moment their menu was very compatible with my food, allergies and no matter how small the café is and how busy they are with a customer And take my daughter and I are 100% going to become their new regulars! What was even better is the waitress did not bug us every five minutes asking us how our feet was and we actually got to enjoy the meal and we were asked at the end of our meal, which was a huge deal for me. I cannot stand being bugged every five minutes, especially in my mouth is full of food, so I am very thankful that the waitresses of this establishment do not do that to you!
