Rueben & I were camping at Holter this weekend, celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. Al & Elizabeth, Holter's campground hosts suggested we eat at Missouri River Bar & Grill. Directions were easy. Turn right on the frontage road, drive a few miles down the road, you'll see some beautiful scenery. That we did ! What a sweet little local place with welcoming staff. I had the Rueben (of course), hubs had the Patty Melt. Believe me, there was no shortage...
It is very clear why they were restaurant of the year. Our server. Sakari was very personable. The food was excellent. Prices are reasonable as well. Would definitely return and higher recommend this place. They even have karaoke on Saturday night if that's your thing.
This place is stellar! Enjoyed both the Viking and Peanut Butter burgers, while the table also ordered hand breaded chicken strips and pepperoni flatbread. Everyone loved their food. The atmosphere is fantastic, and they even have live music on Saturday nights. Well worth the trip out here if you’re coming from Great Falls or Helena, if you are already in the area camping, fishing, or floating. A real gem!
