We stayed here two nights while fishing nearby Rock Creek. After that, we did some boondocking for a day or two. On our way out of town, we stopped by and asked if we could pay a couple bucks to fill up our water tanks and dump our black water. The guy running the place said go ahead, no charge.

A week later, we were passing through the area again, and decided to stay another night to fish Rock Creek the next day. There's a really nice fly shop right next door, and a food truck available for breakfast sandwiches. They were fantastic!

Bath house is reasonably clean.

We loved our stay at Ekstroms! It was quiet and peaceful. The restrooms and showers were clean. The camp host, Pat, was friendly and helpful! We'd love to stay again, especially during the quiet Fall season.

This is the third time we have stayed at this Campground. It has been a great experience every time, but especially this time. The host was more than helpful with setting up a site and any questions that we had. I would recommend it highly.

Quiet and roomy for tent camping. Many RVs around, but the camp store is very well stocked and have friendly staff.

July 2024, visiting my son who lives in Missoula. Ekstroms is a beautiful campground, easily accessible, located on clear mountain stream (Rock Creek), mountains and pines abound. Camp management (Pat) was responsive, kind, helpful and friendly. Ekstroms is 20 minutes outside of Missoula. Easy to get on and off interstate highway, and far enough you don't hear road sounds. One morning after showering I locked my keys in my camper and had to call a locksmith at 6AM. I had multiple people helping me. Many of the people around me stayed here for many years before. It felt like camping in the woods vs structured campground. Bathrooms were clean and well taken care of during my stay. The owners stopped by and made me feel welcome. They personally helped make me a plan for my stay coordinating a trip to Glacier and allowed me to keep my wonderful camping spot. The site is walking distance to a fly shop, with ice, wood, fishing advice and snacks. I will be returning often to this piece of paradise. Respective fellow campers, dogs on leashes, quiet, stars were beautiful, fire rings worked well, had an open area for my pup to play fetch, Rock Creek provided a great place for evening and morning walks.

Showers and laundry on site. Small store with ice near the entrance.

Very nice little hidden gem campground. All grass, easy access, large full and partial hookup sites. Dog friendly just clean up (as you should anyway). River just behind campground, really pretty!

Jessica was very helpful. Clean bathrooms. Great atmosphere and even better fishing holes.

Beautiful quiet place! We had the whole park to ourselves! They are going through a change of ownership and some changes right now, leaving the restaurant closed. I wanted to stay longer since it's closer to my family from where we currently are but with the rate, we could pay for 3 months vs one month...maybe that's why we were pretty much the only one's. There were 2 over nighters and tent campers..It's a beautiful quiet spot and great for those fishing rock creek! The spots are a bit tight but doable..

Well we have been camping there for years with our dogs. We love it. It's been a wonderful place to camp. The food in the resturant was great and the service was always freindly. However it has been sold and the new owners are closing the resturant and campground and building a Tiny Home Village. Unbelievable. There are relics and buildings there that have been brought in from all over the state. We are so dissapointed. We will miss camping beneath the tall trees and fishing on Rock Creek

Host was very friendly when I called. Campground is beautiful and quiet.Restrooms: Loved that they have plumbing. It's a quaint little building, but what you'd expect from a campground.

Great food and great people. If there was higher than 5 stars they deserve it!!
