highly recommend. One of the best burgers I have ever had. Gluten free bun was freshly made by a local bakery. All food was made from scratch...homemade, interesting, non-alcoholic and alcoholic options that really impressed us. don't waste your time anywhere else. we went in hoping for an average meal and got way more than we hoped for.
One of the best local breweries in the Flathead Valley! I came in at 1pm on a Sunday and the vibe was very mellow and cheery. Every single girlie that worked there was SO SWEET, and I rarely spent a minute without my glass being refilled. I had the Fish & Chips special for lunch with The Bear Creek draft (I would closely relate it to a light domestic beer i.e: Modelo, PBR, etc). The 2 pieces of fish I got were BIG, and their house made IPA cocktail sauce was perfect. I had 4 beers and lunch, all together cost me under $50 for fantastic and fresh local products. Thanks for a GREAT experience! This was the perfect place to stop in between activities in the beautiful Big Sky Country. Cheers!
I truthfully don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. We sat for over an hour after ordering before our food arrived, some of it cold and poorly prepared. There may have been some emergency in the kitchen, but our server did not communicate with us at all. We eventually asked one of the bussers for any explanation, she said she would ask the server, and after a few minutes the same busser returned to tell us that the kitchen was just really busy – no sign of the server. We watched multiple tables run out of patience and leave the restaurant before their food arrived – we were not at all alone in this situation. Unfortunate situation and may have just been an off-night but hopefully they figure things out because we were really disappointed.
I had the chicken Gyro and amber ale. Excellent. It came out and I was like, how am I going to eat all this. Oh, I did. Yum!
Backslope was great! Beer flight was delicious and the Italian beef sandwich was spectacular.
Great beer, great food, friendly service, and even great merch! Wholeheartedly recommend stopping in!
2.5 stars rounded to 3. Been coming here for 6 years. Always a fav…until now. Apparently the menu changed about 2 months ago. No more bulgogi bowl, no more ginger bowl. Service was markedly slower than normal. Was told management the same, but difficulty in enough kitchen staff and pricing of ingredients for certain items had become prohibitive. We were informed that menu would be expanding as ability allowed, but these 2 dishes in particular, despite repeated local request and fanfare, will not be. So unfortunate. Talked to some local neighbors and they had a similar experience with new menu changes and wait time. Sadly, we will not be back.
Tasty beers and their take on fries (actual sliced potatoes) were the perfect snack. Would definitely stop in again.
Please bring back the chicken sandwich!
Amazing beers, food and quality is the best. Stop in for a beer!

01/25: still the same
Older: Good food, good prices and good folks. Local favorite.
Went with family, and had a great time. What a way to happy bellies of the best fried pickles, Mac and cheese thst was super creamy and delicious, and the red curry Thai bowl was super fresh. No complaints from anyone at the table. Great service for a busy place. 🙏 Price reasonable. Friendly atmosphere.
Service is fine.
Beer is GREAT.
The food is fantastic, usually, but I almost always get it to go since I can't stand how the kitchen has different music than the dining room and you can hear it from almost anywhere. The entire soundscape is rather poor, really. And it gets stuffy in there when it's busy, too. Sort of feels like one of those depressing cheap cafeterias in England. But the food is amazing!
I dined at Backslope Brewing based on a recommendation of a Guide near Glacier National Park.
I was travelling by myself so I was dining solo. The front space is very nice and uplifting, but they sat me in the back space that was run down and a bit uncomfortable. It was evident that that's where they sat solo diners.
The food was average. The service was very slow. It felt like solo diners weren't wanted and were treated like second-class citizens.
Great food hidden within the facade of a brewery. I somehow liked their spacious seating arrangements.
