Finally had a chance to eat out here, LOVED the experience. Wonderful staff, food was top tier, and we were in a quiet part of the restaurant. Cannot recommend this place enough, hidden gem for sure.

A cute quaint little restaurant. We ended up visiting in the off season during early January.

There was no wait to be seated, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our server did great on checking in on us, and offering recommendations.

The food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. 10/10 would come again.

Great evening and meal here. My friend and I came in after walking around Glacier and our server was just so kind. Tall, slender guy with a contagious smile. (Edit: his name is Aaron) Loved his energy and enthusiasm for the food and gave us great recommendations. I had the pork chop and my friend had a braised beef pasta dish. We tried the Brie appetizer special and it was delicious. The toasted bread was very toasted and without needed to say anything, our server brought us softer ones. That’s reading your table! Adore the root beer served here too. Would love to come here again. Thank you!

Three Forks Grille comes highly recommended around Columbia Falls, usually described as the kind of place that serves good, honest food in generous portions without an ounce of pretense. Based on reputation alone, expectations were rightly set, so I stopped in solo during a recent visit to see what all the local word-of-mouth buzz was about. That buzz, it turns out, isn’t wrong, but this particular visit came with some real bumps.

Let’s start with what Three Forks does well. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive from start to finish, the kind of hospitality that immediately puts you at ease. The dining room was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with an atmosphere that felt relaxed rather than showy.

The meal began with the pork belly and burrata, a dish that sounded like a safe bet but quickly faltered. The pork belly arrived in thin strips cooked to a chewy crisp, missing that tender, luscious texture you hope for. The salad itself wasn’t actually dressed, the “vinaigrette” was drizzled more around the plate than through the greens and leaned heavier toward an aioli than anything bright or acidic or peach as the menu describes. The burrata felt like an afterthought, dropped on top rather than integrated into the dish.

The grilled pork chop showed flashes of what the kitchen is capable of. The chop itself was cooked beautifully, juicy and well-handled, but the supporting cast let it down. The bacon jam and reduction carried a burnt edge that overwhelmed the plate, while the vegetables and potatoes were pushed past their prime. Dessert followed a similar pattern. The crème brûlée arrived scorched, tipping past caramelized into bitter.

Despite the missteps, it was hard not to sense effort and care behind the scenes. The fundamentals appear to be there, and the reputation suggests this meal doesn’t reflect their usual form. I’m inclined to think this was simply an off night rather than a true measure of the restaurant.

Three Forks Grille still feels like a place worth rooting for. With tighter execution, it could easily live up to the honest, hearty praise it’s known for.

When we need a great meal for a celebration, we go to Three Forks. The food is always top notch and fresh. In the summer, we've had to wait for a table but enjoy sitting outside with a drink while we wait. The service is attentive and they will adjust meals for special dietary needs.

Bland food, not hot enough. Whoever is the chef needs to go back to school. The gravy tasted like it came out of a jar. The scallops were overcooked. The salmon undercooked. It all needed more salt. The owner needs to update their menu yesterday, a competitor could quickly put them out of business. I will say that the staff was very nice and helpful however.

This is our first time in the area. 3 Forks was a great food experience. A bit of a wait but we enjoyed a beer while sitting outdoors on a beautiful day. A special salad of greens, heirlooms and strawberries and a sourdough bread offering started off great. The walleye and the chicken dishes were excellent. The only criticism is that the meat was under-seasoned. The lemon-strawberry tart was an awesome conclusion to a wonderful meal at a worthwhileprice. I would recommend highly.

Delicious dinner with unique, delicious food. Nice atmosphere and great service! We've eaten there 4-5 times and always had a great meal.

We just arrived in the area and the menu appealed to us. We had an amazing dinner. We chose a lamb skewer appetizer and the special lamb stew soup for starters. We loved both. We both had trout for dinner. We are from the Georgia coast. The dinner was delicious. We were tempted by dessert and enjoyed the Huckleberry cannot and the blueberry lemon tart. Beverages also suited our tastes. The service and atmosphere were also special.

Excellent food and the menu has plenty of options. Our server was friendly and helpful in making our meal choices. Every worker in this restaurant hustles their butts off. They were impressive to watch.
