The only thing I would recommend about this place is DONT bother with them. The owner (Mel) is known by the locals as "Big Bully Mel". If you're not paying attention, the waitresses will add a tip to your charges on your card even if you did not authorize it. They really don't like being confronted about it either when they get caught. Instead of owning up to it or at the very least pretending they have some sort of decent customer service skills, they immediately go on the defense and call the customer a liar. When I tried to show Mel my bank statement on my phone, she aggressively ripped my phone out of my hand. Then when I snatched it back from her she tried to kick us out. I refused to leave without resolving the issue of the unauthorized charges they made to my card. The owner called the cops and before they showed up, she had the audacity to tell me that she demands an apology once the cops get there and take care of business... Since the charges still showed in my online statement as "pending", there was nothing the cops could do. They said I could come back the next day and press charges once the payment is no longer pending. I made it very clear to the officers and the owner that I would absolutely be back and that I'd be filing theft charges against them... So I wake up to my bank statement now showing the correct charges, but I still have proof that shows somebody tried to manually adjust the payment. After doing the math, I was also able to determine that the extra charges just happened to come out to an exact 20% tip of the original charges. (Ironic huh?) They definitely tried to cover their tracks after getting caught but as you can see, they did not do a very good job with that. 👌🙄 I wonder how many times they've done this to their customers and have actually gotten away with it... Keep track of your receipts AND bank statements, because when the waitress adds a tip to the charges, that tip charge will not show up on the printed receipt that is given back to you with your card. but it will definitely show up on your bank statement. Even showing the original charges and then the "adjusted" charges.

I ate dinner and drank beers here almost every Friday night for years. It is an absolute gem. I wish I could make broasted chicken like they do. Also, get dessert. Always.
We stopped by for a quick lunch and I got the BLT. The waitress (I think she was also the owner) suggested adding an over easy egg on top of the sandwich. I am so glad I listened! Best BLT EVER!

Hands down the best small town restaurant I've been to in Montana. Food and service was excellent. They made me feel right at home when I was staying in town for two days. They can accommodate teams coming through the area. Highly recommended.
