Fantastic food and service!
Service was very lacking. She had 2 other tables besides us. If you can't handle 3, you have no business being a server. Took a bit to get drinks. Brought the food and never came back. Didn't check on us nor refill waters. Had to get our own napkins. I think her name was kaysha? The hostess was great though! Very kind and cheerful. Exactly who you need up front.
We stopped by yesterday, the day before memorial day, and this place was PACKED at almost 3pm! The set up was really cute and the burgers were so good and perfectly made. HUGE shout out to the hostess for staying so chipper with some guests in such an overwhelming late lunch rush. Our waitress and every other staff member we saw deserves their own shout out as well because despite the constant flow of people moving in and out of the restaurant and on the patio, they managed to keep everything organized and moving as quickly as possible all while smiling and making you feel welcome. I also need to mention for the beer drinkers, they have an amazing selection of montana beers!!
Looks like an excellent place to have lunch
Got my attention with gluten free…
Seen it on the internet yesterday so we drove down from Livingston MT thru Gardiner and across the park to Cooke City
Surprise - the website said open at 11:00
But guess what they are not open in the winter
The town is pretty much shut down except for snowmobiles - road to bear tooth pass closed
Lesson learned - don’t believe what is posted on the web page or internet
We’ll be back…..
Good food. Service very slow. Seemed as if the waitress knew you, she waited on them first and gave them more attention. Others that came in after us got served before we did. Spendy, but with limited choices to eat, it is unavoidable.

One of the best restaurants in the greater Yellowstone area. Always perfectly cooked, fresh fish, great craft beer selection and awesome lemon poppy seed rum cake.

Great place to eat at in Cooke city. Got there in the evening for dinner and had to wait ~15 mins. You do have to wait outside when there is a wait which it was rainy and cold. Inside was cozy and great food selection. I got rainbow trout, baked potato, and veggies (which were delicious). Also came with side salad which was fresh with homemade dressing (got honey mustard) and it was some of the best dressing I have ever had. I’d come back just for the salad it was so good. We also got the brownie sundae with moose tracks ice cream. The brownie was delicious, would definitely recommend. They had huge homemade cookies for sale as well that I wish we would have tried. Service was great, fast, and friendly. Would highly recommend if in Cooke city.

On August 29th, 2024, my wife and I had hamburgers and they were a breath of fresh air. Our server Curtis is the son of the owner and provided excellent customer service.
The soup of the day was corn chowder and I would highly recommend it.

Great place for dinner, friendly accommodating staff when arriving after 8pm, tasty meals, reasonable prices. There's a reason this place is busy

Our server wiped his nose with his bare hand dozens of times and served us without washing his hands. He provided us Napkins and noted one was dirty.... you guessed it; because of his moist thumbprint on iit. I chose to power through the meal despite the contamination which strangely had a bison steak that was underseasoned and rice pilaf that was super salty. I brought up the nose wiping to him after the meal.... again by choice because I didn't want to cause a scene. He apologized, but tried to charge me for 2 bottles of wine instead of 2 glasses. btw the meal for 2 was still over $100. I will not eat here again and cannot in good conscience recommend anyone else eat here. Miner's Saloon is a better option
The people sitting beside us had pine cones hitting them from the tree above them during their meal. My friend ordered the very expensive salmon and it was dry. The mashed potatoes were instant. The burger was good, but I got sick from it. I never write bad reviews, but I did get ill in the way home. I also did t appreciate the little statue of Jesus on the counter by the register. The waiter was kind though.
